"The price of anything is the amount of life you exchange for it." - Henry David Thoreau
The longer I live on a Bitcoin standard, the more this makes sense.
We have a knowledge shortage, not an energy shortage.

Semantics aside, all I know is that if I die with MY seed phrase, MY coins go with me.
One of the hardest personal challenges I'm currently working to optimize is to change my default thought process surrounding food from "What SOUNDS good to eat?" to "What IS good to eat?"
My entire portfolio is #Bitcoin, minus a 401K that I couldn't convert.
That 401K is compromised exclusively of #Microstrategy stock, which is up 543% over the past year compared to the S&P's 35%.
When you no longer have to optimize and fight against broken money, the strategy becomes simple.
This is just semantics. You could make that argument about anything depending on your definition of "ownership."
According to Merriam-Webster...
"Own"
- To have or hold as property.
- To have power or mastery over.
How do you reconcile Bitcoin's solution for property rights and self-sovereignty when you apparently can't own the property?
Money facilitates hyper specialization, which facilitates the creation of new knowledge.
Therefore, broken money inhibits the creation of new knowledge.

Technology outpacing evolution is most evident in the fact that we dream more about entertainment than exploration.
$5 per referral is nice, though I like Swan's model of receiving a fee percentage for every purchase the person you onboard makes.
“The lifetime tab for such grand aspirations as owning a home, driving a car, raising kids and taking annual vacation comes to $4.4 million.” - Research by Investopedia
#Bitcoin fixes this.

Regardless of the cost, it's sad that that's what's considered the dream.

"Cryptemology" rolls a little better off the tongue.
Based on your definition though, I'm not sure where this would fit between psychology, epistemology, philosophy, information theory, and physics.
Street smarts, for example isn't necessarily "hidden" knowledge. It could all be written down and explained, you just won't fully grasp it until you experience it.
In that sense, it's just like any other skill that takes practice to acquire.
I like the idea though of studying the "world behind the world."
Interesting take...
I don't think protocols like Nostr and Bitcoin are inevitable in the sense that if we do nothing and let them sit they'll naturally rise to prominence on their own.
However, I do think they're inevitable in the sense of "if we build it EVERYONE will come," because all the other options are unsustainable and unproductive.
What are best practices for #Nostr key management?
You're not supposed to enter nsec into clients for security purposes, but you can't post notes without it?
He who cannot obey himself will be commanded. That is the nature of living creatures.

Creatively imagining a #Bitcoin world sometimes feels like imagining life on land as a fish.
