What about relays that forget content after a period of time? These would be very lightweight and easy to run. Most people don't even want their notes stored for eternity.
Totally, makes me want to vomit. It's almost as bad as mindlessly chanting bitcoin slogans all day.

Are there any known / suspected honeypot or surveillance nostr relays? #asknostr
True, you have to request events from the relay so it knows your IP. Just like accessing a website.
For why: has some network effect, straightforward UX and appeals to normies, proven to be secure
One of the surprises of Nostriga for me was the appearance of the https://layer3.news/ project. It’s nostr + rss + news + ai.
What's the RSS feed URL?

Probably not in any reliable way. Soecific applications built on top of nostr might be able to offer a minimal level of protection against that kind of thing, but at the protocol I don't think it's even desirable to try to solve for that.
To be honest I'm not sure. Can you be a bit more specific though on what dangers you're worried about?
If you're on Android, Phoenix installed via Obtainium
