Building for 0xchat & XChat

If you send an image via DM, it will be e2e encrypted before being uploaded to the file server. If you send an image in a group, channel, or moment, the image is directly uploaded to the file server.

You can also choose a NIP-96 server in the settings-file server

If you send a note or nostr:note, it will display the note and linked to the note’s detail

Which features do you think need to be deleted?

nip17 dm

voice/video calls

secret chat

nip17 private group

nip29 open/public group

nip28 channels

contacts

discovery -moment/groups

ecash wallet

badges

donates

0xchat uses contact list instead of follow list

Some communities are using it. There is already a NIP-29 group with over 100 members on 0xChat, and this is just the beginning. I believe NIP-29 is currently the only alternative to Telegram groups, especially for large group chats.

After check 0xchat source code (nostr:npub10td4yrp6cl9kmjp9x5yd7r8pm96a5j07lk5mtj2kw39qf8frpt8qm9x2wl). I will give Flutter a try 😅. Other than that, Flutter have plenty of library for building nice UI on Linux, and I can use Rust for backend as well, seems decent choice.

Flutter is great for cross-platform development and has a rich set of UI libraries, though there are some pitfalls as well. Overall, it's a good choice. 👍

Wen ppl hear the ostrich message sound on #0xchat
