Weird synchronicity, I just found out this exact thing today about my fiancée’s investment account from her new job. We obviously would rather put the money into bitcoin, but we were all excited to at least be able to pick some stocks and allocate it to a bitcoin ETF. Then today, we found out that she only has a choice between 17 pre-approved funds. Picking and choosing your own investments is actually not an option. Seems crazy and makes you realize they funnel the money to where they want it to go. Sat stacking all has to come from take home pay that isn’t being channeled into the retirement account.
