Odell says that Coinkite’s licensing WAS open source - which allowed competitor Foundation with their Passport Wallet to pull the code from the Mk3 for their own gain. Coinkite changed their licensing in reaction to this so that, while still verifiable & open to review code, Coinkite’s code was protected from future issues. I can understand why they did it but it’s not technically open source code anymore. Doesn’t change my opinion that the Mk4 is still a great wallet.

Could the Nostr protocol have the ability and/or capacity to replace text messaging and the necessity for SIM cards with its public/private key setup, creating a more private messaging network? I’m not well versed in hardware or software and would love to learn more about it.
