I ripped them off upon harvest, but not because I know anything, just processing them as far as I could. Are there any negative effects that some would expect?
It's a signal to get more ammo.
It's a long story of constant failures. The short version is they charged my card immediately, but didn't ship until three weeks later (after I brought it to their attention). It still took them a week or two to finally send it off. When I got it, the wifi dongle was the wrong one (physical connector didn't match). They spent another month getting me the correct dongle. Then the S9 booted straight to an error. They made multiple appointments with me for troubleshooting, then would no-show on me. Meanwhile, this took tons of emails back and forth, with D-central often taking a week or two to reply, including threatening me with slower response time if I didn't act happy about their mistakes.
I'm pretty much soured on the idea of home mining after that. I would have been better off using the money to buy BTC, and my time spent doing almost anything else.
As long as you don't buy from D-Central in Canada. I had one of my worst experiences in purchasing after dealing with those posers.
Then it is definitely overpriced.

What's the estimated time for ROI?
We don't have anything resembling simulated intelligence though. Maybe under perfect conditions, for very specific uses, you can create that illusion, but when practical usage comes into play, it all falls apart. Any "scientist" would know this through a concept call "experimentation".
Intelligence agencies are the ones that have info to leak. Hang out with their agents, and you'll learn their "tells".
If one doesn't, are they really worth listening to? 😉
If you get a balloon, video it for us!
Diatribes my deter them.
Not to a pissed of pest like me.
I would have been fired after demanding to know the full name of who fucked up.
This is news to me. I'm shocked that it's happening. Maybe this behavior will be forced to stop soon?
