Just wanttlo give a shutout to an amazing software, fully open source and community driven: safing's portmaster. Much better than a VPN, it tracks all traffic from any of your apps and allows you to spoof your ip, deny access to internet, etc. It basically allows you full control over your computers use of the internet.
I installed it last night and played some pillars of eternity ;deadfire (a game) and after looking at postmaster, saw that it was communicating online while I was playing! So I blocked it.
Its like a firewall and VPN and port monitor all rolled into one. Good stuff.

Musk is in the business of centralizing systems. Twitter, starlink, etc. He does so under the guise of freedom which is smart, because if people really knew what he is doing they would revile him.
