it's been a bit stormy lately. i didn't realise it was bad enough that in some places it flooded so hard there's houses floating down the river and a dam broke

nostr:npub1yrjkz0k3gc3crve70wlwe9ar9x62jpgz8h86v8extueccxj8x8mq9ew8sy i definitely wouldnt be able to even if i wanted to, i dont have a safe place to use fire tools

nostr:npub1pnpez7cn4h04pxg07dmmklzyz7u7fm0w2ddrw220qh785rq3m42ql452zw it depends on the material. this one would be aluminium so probably pretty light. if i succeed with it i want to try in steel next but would need stronger cutting tools for that

made bracelet

i am not too happy cos i followed the measurements perfectly and it still didnt turn out like the pictures :nkodead:

nostr:npub12d44w9955fxcn5h4xjgzt8ur9lspgzelxu827h3cv2y9n3pwydmq8kerfl i agree, the rings are too wide for that weave. they're perfect for the right side one but way too loose for the left. i got this chart now so i know what size to make them next time :hypercat:

ran out of aluminium so im using copper and it's so much harder. i was able to close the aluminium rings with my fingers but not this

nostr:npub1v7t4yx9vxtv3mat0hdsduuym4fvjd5dzmdlh82ssa40phr965h2s2lck6k you can use, and people actually buy pieces to do so, chainmail squares to scrub cast iron pans.

I feel like the left one would be better for that.

nostr:npub1v7t4yx9vxtv3mat0hdsduuym4fvjd5dzmdlh82ssa40phr965h2s2lck6k imagine studding or forging together the ends on every ring

nostr:npub1srhg4hk63ew68kepu0znazgf9tdl089dkur5artp440htxqrc8zsqz8g90 i saw a guy on youtube who solders the ends :whoaaaa:

i made 2 loops to learn the weaves, i really like the one on the right better but it takes like double the time to make it, and was hard to figure out how to connect the ends
