It's really strange that food is the thing that makes you hungry, so if you don't have any then your suffering abates quite quickly.

On the other hand, your senses and in particular your sense of smell becomes intense, like your body is going "ok, I can't eat right now but I'm not gonna miss any food if it comes past"

It's better than poking values into your database directly.

Can of coke 50k here we come

Remember that these companies claim to be able to use AI to specifically curate everything that you see and police all speech but they can't even block intensely formulaic crypto scams. "Hi this is your favorite YouTuber Please contact me on what'sapp for a new crypto I'm really excited about"

My search sucks, doesn't display any results for text search. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

I'm really sad that now lemmy has neither wolfballs nor exploding-heads. My lotide instance is still up, but I visit a lot less without someone saying something interesting.

On an unrelated note, I wanted to drop this video for you based on a previous conversation we had:

It's a long burn, but I find his videos pretty interesting.

I'm on satellite, that's a big step towards making it more accessible. I think Alex Gleason's new project will be another step.

Even devopers aren't always developers. At some point people want something user friendly.

The graysonian ethic 2: and now you'll know the rest of the story

I think it's important to remember that the same people calling for this medical treatment also advocated strongly for eugenics.

When I say the same people, I do mean the same people. Tommy Douglas, the socialist premier in Saskatchewan who is widely considered the father of Canadian universal healthcare, was a strong proponent of eugenics as an example but far from the only example.

I thought about posting a video like this when it was first going on, but now I think this video encapsulates the Kevin McCarthy experience perfectly.

Going back to vote again and again lol

But this scene in the actual anime when it was about great sage turning to raphael brought a tear to my eye. After all the work everyone did to save their friends, great sage was ganbatte-ing the shit out of that upgrade.

I dated a former stripper for a while. She was a lot of fun and knew how to party, but she wanted to marry me and that definitely wasn't happening.

The problem is that she was irredeemably broken. She took the job because it was the only one where she could work and drink and do drugs all day without getting in trouble. Most of her best friends are dead from the lifestyle. And she could be a lot of fun and really sweet sometimes, but she was also psycho sometimes.

Aristotle once said "We are what we continually do. Virtue, then, is a habit". In the same way, vice is also a habit, and it's a road some people walk down and it is big and meaningful decision.

Can people change? Absolutely. But the larger the change and the longer you've been the person who needs the change, the more effort is required to do so, and the more will is required to change course. It doesn't just happen, and it doesn't just happen because you think she's beautiful and would like to see her on a better path.

Those are rookie numbers. We gotta get those numbers way up.

As a straight man, I don't look for the same things a woman does.

I've got 2 questions about a dude:

1. If he joins my crew is he going to contribute if I need to go defend my tribe? And,

2. If he joins my crew is he going to end up pulling all the chicks?

I don't really feel like Musk checks either box. He's a somewhat normal looking guy with some really strange facial features.
