Appreciate the breakdown, I don't know much about how shitcoin wallets work, but I remember having a trust wallet back in the day and that seed phrase I could use to spin up wallets on different chains now that I think of it, I mean it would be pretty annoying to requir a seed for each blockchain and as a shitcoiner, they always opt for convenience.

But yes my concern is even if it's all on the same private key how was that key accessed in the first place, but then again why are you signing directly from ledger, sigh!

Used to have one, moved over to a Jade and Cold Card when they started pushing ledger recover, if they can access my seed remotely to back as part of a service then what's the point?

Is #Ledger secure element not worth shit? I get that this person signed a phishing link with his ETH wallet and got drained but how did they tap up his Bitcoin wallet and sweep the funds? How would a phishing link get his seed?

Or is it that ledgers private key is tied across all blockchains so if one gets cooked you can sweep it all? If so then damn multi-chain old storage is a completely borked operation and is just security theatre
