自由閪。Defund the system! Passionate about privacy, encryption and ⚡️bitcoin. Forbidden lands, forgotten empires. Hong Kong is my home.

Yeah exactly. Maybe just an unpopular card. And not many leave reviews

Bought a gift card with Lightning, checked the comments and the only two reviews were from a friend and me from last year.

Haha, triggered!

2018: Dumping on early adopters

2022: Dumping on retail

2026: Dumping on taxpayers

I did not expect a new cycle like this!

Bitcoin was never “fine.”

It always had to be fought for, it only got this far because of the sacrifices of developers, entrepreneurs and users. We can’t afford to just lean back and ignore all threats. We’re fighting on many fronts, and it’s not always looking bright:

Censorship, privacy, scalability, and maybe most frustrating to me: Adoption.

A stockpile is the lumber outside your factory waiting to be processed.

A strategic reserve is the forest you maintain for future generations.

Who will be the first to implement a custodial “satoshi test” just to mess with Coinbase LOL

I used to run the LNBits cashu mint, but it appears to be no longer maintained. What’s your favorite easy-to-run mint? Ideally something I can just plug into the LND RPC

Yep, nostr:nprofile1qqsgqjpwvqtcct8fjmdx6e6h0at29vky0n93epxgru4hjcrr0jm3k7qprpmhxue69uhhwetvvdhk6efwdehhxarj9emkjmn9qy2hwumn8ghj7etyv4hzumn0wd68ytnvv9hxgqgswaehxw309ahx7um5wgh8w6twv5atg5nm has done this.

You can grab the elements from our API or using and Overpass querying on the OSM API.

You can then import these, but it's a manual process afaik.

Would be cool to be able to set queries directly in OSM clients.

This is the query:

https://maps.mail.ru/osm/tools/overpass/?Q=node%5B'currency%3AXBT'%3Dyes%5D%3B%0Aout%20meta%3B&C=37.71859;62.22656;4&R

The export as a KZM file and open it with your favorite client (mine is OrganicMaps).

I post my secrets to Twitter so that nobody will see them

Since covid tyranny struck I always had this idea that things would happen by freedom-lovers being squeezed out of the mainstream, looking for places they could build a life - and all ending up clumping together

If you have a few dozen people around you, you're done - that's a community as far as I'm concerned, and things are only likely to grow from there

I really think that that's happening, we've passed the tipping point - eg el zonte in salvador. It doesn't matter what happens to bukele, there's a community there now, people have found each other and they're not going back

Isle of Man sounds like a great destination! I also want to go to Madeira

Yeah I love the map! Wherever I go I tend to maintain it, and on my trips to the US that always meant deleting merchants. You can see that cities I visited recently show no more merchants. That’s what makes me think there are none in other areas too. As there are no Bitcoin users, there are also no BTCMap maintainers there and the map looks the way it does
