自由閪。Defund the system! Passionate about privacy, encryption and ⚡️bitcoin. Forbidden lands, forgotten empires. Hong Kong is my home.

Ah yeah this is how I find high-quality nostriches

you probably don’t salt your pasta water enough

The joy and virtue of spending your sats

Relax. Cross a mighty river on a 140 year old bridge. Share food with your fellow passengers. Take the ear plugs out.

I've travelled by train across North America, Europe and Asia and it absolutely is the most beautiful car in the world. There are a few in Japan that come close, but these tend to be bespoke unique models, not regularly scheduled passenger trains. If you think I'm overstating the beauty and luxury of 'The Canadian" you should definitely ride it sometime!

The most beautiful railroad car in the world, built in 1954 by the Budd Company for Canadian Pacific for their Vancouver to Montréal route. This is the only one in a museum, most are still in service! In yellow VIA livery, a diesel engine that might have once pulled this mighty train.

This looks very well done. Congrats to those involved and let’s hope it sticks and spreads!

There’s a special place in hell for those giving away free pizza on Pizza Day. Heretics! Blasphemers! Hypocrites!

May Satoshi have mercy.

In the past I had to spend hours trying to get cards unblocked, and when I wasn’t able to add the card to apple/google pay it becomes much less useful. Some cards expire within six months, and any remaining balance can be hard to use. I have also had some accounts blocked perpetually because of “toxic” cards

It’s somewhat ironic that anonymous, prepaid Bitcoin debit cards offer you a better deal than their “compliant” alternatives. Despite the risk, and without recommending them, I’m a repeat and anxious customer.

Look for the local “satoshi spritz” groups. They usually organize through Telegram and are very welcoming: https://satoshispritz.it

The main issue with walkable neighborhoods in North America:

There are so few of them, they are inevitably run over by tourists. The old town of Montréal is amazing, but would be illegal to build everywhere on the continent, including Montreal.

Currency exchange in Montréal. Make these ubiquitous, bring down the spread, bridge me meatspace via Lightning. And merchant adoption, of course.

Would Al have told you to buy Bitcoin in 2015? Don’t outsource your thoughts

Probably quite easy to disable, sometimes I get a rental car with that “feature” and a quick web search reveals the fix

Yours seems like a reasonable configuration. Many cars honk every time you press the lock button, which is about as anti-social as you can be in a city. I don’t know who sets these configurations, but it’s not consistent across make and model. Sometimes I get a rental car that does that and it’s always trivial to disable

Anyone here who configured their car to “honk” when it locks its doors? Because I want to unfollow you
