Indeed, algorithms are societal mind control.
I feel much less stressed out and angry since shutting down all of my prior social media accounts, other than #nostr.
I don’t miss them at all… not even a little bit.
Although unplugging from them (especially X) felt like breaking off a powerful addiction.
Shout out to nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m for the insight while I was still stuck in the matrix.

I think what I'll want is a paid service provider that will AI train off nostr notes, updated nightly, live search to current...then provide me a plugin in my app of choice that allows me to UI tune what I want and converts that to proper ai prompt/model giving me a resulting feed type category shortcut just for me. It might be a feed based on content starting from a single note, or account, or let's me bookmark samples, and maybe I can mix in a mood setting like 'positive' or 'alarming' or 'deep dive'. Basically I want to be able create my own algorithms that turn into feeds.
I've been doing consistent long walks in the sun around my neighborhood while the weather's nice. Doing some business calls while walking, or listening to a podcast while walking.
I mostly blame nostr:npub1dvufvl73s0xdz8d75dgcyjvl0wrmczczvr0ef88g5x8uehmr4fus0j0pwx for getting me into this trend.

Walking is the activity we are truly meant to do. If you want to really "see" or enjoy a city, neighborhood, area, etc....you walk it.
Bitcoin only device to reduce risk exposure of more software on device. Buy 2-3 of different brands (direct and new only) to practice multiple setups and multiple recoveries. You'll lean towards a personal fav then buy another new spare, test it and clear it, then keep it off site at a family member house (not apt).
Torn between the maddening thoughts of understanding how the market makers/players are able to persist this never ending price band with seemingly new buying demand pressure of the ETFs versus thinking happy thoughts of possibly creating a future cost base level that is far above prior ownership cost levels.
I'm circling back to test out some other settings. I'm going into Orbot to specifically select the nostr apps. I'm going into Mullvad vpn to specifically exclude (split tunnel) the same nostr apps.
I was probably overreaching my initial first use of nostr. Already had Start9OS appliance working and using tor to its other services...so installed nostr relay service. Have Orbot running on mobile. Then tried to setup Amethyst on mobile running CalyxOS and add the onion via WS://
Are you asking about me using nostrudel setup or my issues with my personal nostr relay? For nostrudel, using local lan URL not onion to connect to the nostrudel app. For relay issue it was trying to connect mobile apps and gossip desktop to the relay not web browser.
Well if we're doing wish list...on this topic...I would have it tell me size of all data included and have a slider bar that I could adjust the number of weeks per contact of chat history to include and tells me the resulting size of backup. Boom
More chats, more data, encrypted backed grows over time. There is a system option to delete older than a month per profile if someone wants auto purge. In any case it has features I like. What's your preferred chat app?
Here is how I got #citrine to work as both a local relay and as an exposed onion service as outbox relay on my phone. Thanks to nostr:nprofile1qqsda2memtapc2lykjnd8t9px4ake2stw39lg6k49xj6u3jz3pteu6qppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qyghwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnhd9hx2tcpzfmhxue69uhkummnw3eryvfwvdhk6tcf3g7ce for the idea!
Download Citrine and start as local relay
Open Orbot
Tap more
Tap onion hosted services
Tap user services
Tap +
Add any name to service
Add 4869 to both ports
Hit save
Exit from orbot
Restart orbot by closing out or force close
Restart orbot and connect orbot vpn again
Tap hosted services and copy new onion url
Open #Amethyst and go to relays
Add ws://yournewonionaddress. onion:4869 to outbox relay
Remove any other outbox relay
Hit save

Quite cool to get it all to flow through...what is the use case for this? Is it just having private relay on mobile? Cause you can private chat really well with Simplex chat even w/o self hosted Simplex relay
Holy shit my man! You were literally the final reason I finally got off my ass and sorted out finishing my nostr app setups this last week. Dang good timing on my part.
I discovered it after getting into Start9OS using my DIY NUC appliance (cheap computer) for self hosting app services.
Take a look at https://simplex.chat/ Very impressive open source, secure, no personal identifying info. Cool tech. I created a chat bot for personal use for fun on top of it as test case.
Every single item from a paper clip to a house costs you some amount of time (the ultimate cost) to maintain it, store it, use it, etc. The more things you don't "have" to do, the more time you'll have to do whatever you want to do.

I see what you did there nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m ... nice

I use it as a desktop browser client which is running as a self hosted app on one of my private Start9OS DIY devices. Then setup/config nostr accounts and off to the races like a nice desktop app. So instead of using one of the also fantastic public web Nostr websites....I can now use a locally hosted one. So playing with it recently. I have been trying to also use the Start9OS nostr relay app...but I'm having issues with my client apps reaching it via the TOR and even internal LAN wss/URL addresses....so no luck yet on that as a nostr backup relay for all my nostr data.
Hope they find Mullvad, accepts BTC and no personal id info
It works but I understand your point that most if not already familiar or curious about VPN likely won't use as a reason to learn about it just to exercise their will against their government. VPN also doesn't solve publicly known identity on X or any other app.
Mullvad VPN, no registration, no username/pword, accepts BTC...check it out Brasil
