Disagree. My mail server blocks tons of spam and malware every day by examining the reputation of the IPs connecting to it and other characteristics, without ever discriminating based on content. It's not a perfect system, but email would be unusable without those controls, and that's been the case since Vixie stood up the original MAPS RBL.

I think, if it were me, I'd try a limited rollout connecting only their regulated exchange and custodial wallet peers to start. That could be a big win for them, even though it's only a partial solution.
