If it's *really* "digital gold", that's great. Gold both circulated as a medium of exchange and was used as the standard of value for the monetary system at large. But, yeah, I don't think that's what the people who love that phrase actually mean. :(

No reason you can't share a server with a few friends, either, if you only have an S9 and a few Bitaxen. The username gets passed through to Ocean, so you each get credit for your respective shares.
Of course, you do have to agree on what will go into your blocks. That's the whole point of being a sovereign miner. :)
