HOLY SHIT WAS THAT AN AMAZING FLIGHT!!!!
I flew for 54 minutes yesterday, my longest ever flight by 4 times. My prior longest flight had been at Tekoa last year for a whopping 15.5 minutes. This blew that out of the water and was an absolutely incredible flight. I caught my first thermals, stayed in them, then found more lift on my own without help from the others. It was scary at times but for the most part I was more or less comfortable. My focus was on the lift and not on the exposure or the circumstances I was in, (ie hanging from a pillow and threads many hundreds of feet int the air...)

It was incredibly hot and humid in the #bouldering area yesterday morning. It was barely into the low 70sF but damn was it warm amongst the boulders. The worst was the insane swarms of mosquitoes that were lurking... I DID find myself a Yeti tumbler on the backside of a boulder, (I'd never spend $35 on a mug).
Made a batch of pumpkin bread in the afternoon before grilling for dinner then after dark we went out to try and see the aurora. It seems it really kicked into gear after midnight but I was not able to stay up for it. Nice to see the pictures this morning though.
Today I am going flying at Tekoa with the club and I am SUPER excited for this. I really really really hope the winds work well with us today!!!

The warmer temps make it nicer for being at the bouldering area. I headed up yesterday and got a good bit more cleaned and a bunch of bushes trimmed back mid morning. It may not be the biggest or best climbing area but it is essentially all mine. I have some project problems that are way beyond my current ability that I hope to climb eventually.
I got my gear ready for flying tomorrow and have everything charged and packed. The winds look to be PERFECT for flying Tekoa and my goal is to try and get a flight over an hour. I'm going to ask the other guys for help finding thermal lift if possible to try and get up high.

After dealing with the invasion of raspberry plants in the greenhouse yesterday morning I spent some time at my #bouldering area cleaning more rocks of grime. I got some nice #climbs in at the end and am slowly but surely getting the area whipped back into shape.
It warmed up enough that the dew all dried and I was able to get the grass cut around the farm. There is still a good bit more that I need to cut today but I will use the weedeater for that as it is better at the misc areas. I had to leave a few areas uncut too as they are filled with various flowers that I want to seed out.

After picking up a full grain load yesterday morning I picked up the load of barrels from the other brewery until a new brewer takes it over. Then I went out to the hill to get a couple of #paragliding flights in though the winds were a bit wonky and gusty with no consistent base wind to work with. Still they were flights with safe takeoffs and landings.
The grain got emptied to very expectant birds and animals who spent the rest of the day wading through it. I finally have myself a hardware wallet, a Nano S that I won from a raffle and received it yesterday and have it nicely setup. Now if only my xfer would make it through the mempool...

Post storm yesterday it turned into a pretty nice day. The sun warmed the hive and the bees were out and about until it rained and they hid inside. I was able to clear the debris from the entrance for them though as they had hauled a bunch of wax out. The rhubarb had to get the flowers hacked off of ithe plants which is a recurring task. I finished removing the dandelions from the main yard so now I can cut the grass today.
Have a load of grain to pickup this morning then all the empties from anotehr brewery before I head out to see if I can get a flight or more in.

We got the full brunt of the storm over the past 24 hours. Nearly 1 inch of rain in that time and I had to make sure the turkey feeder was covered to keep it from getting flooded. This reminds me of 2020 and the insane wet weather we had going into summer. Thankfully this looks like a one off storm and it will clear up for the rest fo the week.
With the rain it was an inside day and I threw a lot of darts. My form is getting more refined and my consistency is getting better. Slowly but surely the practice is paying off.

We have #honeybees! I got the package and installed it in the morning yesterday and nicely we have a heap of bushes that are in full flower so they have ready sources to pull from. They also have a number of full frames that they don't have to work to fill so hopefully they have a nice head start for the year this way.
Worked around the farm then took the boys up to the #bouldering area to work more on clearing the trails and the landings beneath the boulders. It looks much better now and all the problems on the Roadside boulders are accesible. Just need to keep scrubbing the moss and lichen off.

Yesterday morning I FINALLY packed my reserve parachute into the front mount container and am now very anxious to go try it out, but weather is limiting flying for a few days. So instead I went to my bouldering area for the first time in a few years. It is super overgrown and the rocks have all got a coating of moss and lichen grown. I have a TON of scrubbing to do to clean the problems all up but I have over 60 with more to put up.
I scrubbed 5 problems and climbed them over the hour I was there. Once I can get hte trails cut and the landings all cleared it will make access better. I still have work to do on the guidebook but it is mostly put together and I have about a dozen problems to add to it. It may not be a big climbing area but it is essentially mine for now.
