Last of the seeds are in the ground now and just the transplants left to put in today. The fences are up, irrigation all started and not leaking, and the marigold seeds have been stuffed all over the gardens.
One of the light switches in the house went bad and I got it swapped out before it could turn bad. The thing was crackling inside at times as the lights wouldn't come on.... I had the images of the spark then flames in the wall and made sure to get it changed. That part of the house is nearly 100 years old.

After my 7 mile bike ride in the morning I got the last garden spot tilled. It's ready to plant today and will be the final seeds going in the ground till later this summer. Getting stung by the bee didn't make for an enjoyable afternoon and the dumb ass got squished for the effort. Hoping my wing arrives today!

After the morning of wanting to burn Venmo to the ground then a trip to the bank and paying for my wing through Zelle I was able to get the greenhouse planted finally. Far later than I should have given it's a greenhouse.... I found one of our broody hens finally after a lot of searching and she has a good sized clutch under her. Just one of them I know is sitting but haven't been able to find the others.

Wonderful, they are feeding them the most highly gmo'ed plants with corn and soy.
The garden is now planted. Just the greenhouse left to plant and I will be all good for the season. Ordered my next 6 varieties of garlic for fall planting and when I get then next couple in September it will give me 21 varieties. I'd like to have the entire garden planted with garlic eventually. One row per variety sounds good to me.

The #garlic now has TOTAL COVERAGE irrigation. I hate overhead watering but sometimes there is no other good option. The garlic is far less concerned by it than most plants so it will be fine. The boys are going to help me pile the pine needles back between them all to try and mitigate the weeds which will explode in the overhead watering.
658 #potatoes are in the ground and that is all I am planting this year. I now have OODLES that need to go to anyone who wants to grow them....

First run since Jan 2023 yesterday and I managed a 32 minute 5k which got me 43rd overall... Crazy. Whooped my ass but I did it. In the afternoon I got the garden spot tilled and ready for the 250+ potatoes to get planted today. Still so much to do around the farm before I can get back to working on my truck.

Got my #honeybee nuc yesterday morning and installed them right away. The hive inside the shed now is hopefully going to do wonders for their chances of overwinter survival, for once. They have more than a full super of filled frames so have a good head start.
Over 400 potatoes planted so far and that was only the Red Nordlands, I still have all the yellow to stuff in the ground somewhere.

I was rather pissed after my short flight yesterday but then Isaac had a similar flight so I didn't feel as bad. Chris was up at 7k while we sunk out. But at least I had the best landing of the 4 of us so there is that. Next flight will get me to triple digits.

Quite the nice dawn yesterday morning as I was in town getting a load of grain. The animals were running down the hillside for it once they crested the edge and saw the pile. The birds all ran like a heard of dinosaurs for the grain when I finally let them out. They will get more on Saturday but they don't know that.
The main garden is ready to plant I just need to decide what is going where. I have far too many potatoes so they are likely going to be going everywhere around the farm.

Just a glitch in the matrix
After dealing with the ram in the morning yesterday I figured out a bike rack for the boys' bikes out of a simple pallet. Works quite well too. Then while getting the loaded frames moved to the new hive I found one frame that had a hanger which broke off and then got taken in the house for us to munch on. The nuc will have a boat load of prefilled frames to work with and should hopefully do WAY better now inside.
The #Baofeng UV-26 hts are pretty slick and I'm curious if they can actually put out the 10 watts as advertised. Will have to see if I can hook up my NanoVNA to them to test...

After printing them out I got the wasp deterrents installed around the farm. I really hope they work. Mid day while it rained I got the bee hive setup in the shed where they will live year round. Then I got the main garden finished tilling so now I can layout the irrigation and plastic and plant.
