Busy day yesterday for Easter. Got the bikes tuned, tilled in the garden, we went on a bike ride, and grilled steaks for dinner. #3dprinted wasp nest decoys which I am anxious ot try out and see if they actually will deter the wasps from building nests around the farm. Would be WAY nicer than having to spray or burn the assholes once the nests are built.

Spokane #bike swap yesterday and upgraded bikes for 3 of us. Nice step up with the Schwinn and he already has been mobbing it around. Most the rest of my day was spent with the #3dprinter trying to keep my pain at bay.

I do get video of most all my flights but don't put many up. This is one from last year.
Got my first real thermals yesterday on my 47 minute flight at Tekoa. FINALLY was able to work them and not be super puckered. I even pulled up 500 feet from less than a 100 feet off the ground which was SUPER cool. I did crash into a hawthorne for landing but my wing came out unscathed.

Nice sunrises when the sky is finally clear. Got a load of grain yesterday morning which the sheep and birds were stoked on after I clipped wings. Really happy with the brake handles for my glider, they printed off very nicely. The spools printed out great too and I now have my tree kit built for my glider as well though I hope to never need it.

I had a plastic enclosure for water feature pump controls that was empty, has locking latches on the door, and is weather proof. I fixed it to 4ft metal stakes pounded into the ground. and set it on an old rim so the wires had room to route out the bottom.
It's just a small Mighty Mule that I have a car battery powering and a solar panel keeping the battery charged. The gate was originally by the house for the inner yard. The key thing over the years was to make sure the hinge pins were facing each other which locks the gate on so it can't be lifted off or fall off like it did a few times.
While the wind was whipping yesterday I got the first bit of tilling done in the main garden. It goes fast enough I guess, given I just have the walk behind. I finally figured out the shake to the car... the rear wheels had dirt caked to one side so they acted like the vibrating motor in your phone, only this happened at 55 to 65 mph. Car is nice and smooth now, thankfully.

OOOHHHH SHIT! Got my longest flight yesterday at 1 hr 18 mins and the 3 of us had super winds until they got a bit too strong at the end. I got my first experience in rotor and getting slapped out of the sky. Ended up landing out to the north and had to hoof it back around to the lz about a mile. I can say absolutely the ballast helped incredibly.

k, good but i would like to hear how the gliding went if U care2share nostr:npub1szlawrnh4kzvq9yfuegvpz0ws8h5zywea4n2d4zf3kdd3g9tenwqnqn3du t *Y*
Flying this evening instead of mid day. No one wanted to go with and my scooter for transit between lz and car needed charging.
Picked up my ballast bag for #paragliding yesterday. $15 for a camp shower that holds over 4 gallons but I only need one gallon of weight. Fits in my harness perfectly.
The new headlight came for the car and I managed to get it installed good and solid. Surprising conside3ring the amount of plastic that blew up when the turkey blasted it. It's not perfect but it will totally work fine. Asshole birds.

Great #flight yesterday at Tekoa. About 15 pilots from the club were there and I got my highest flight yet to over 5k elevation. It was a very active piloting kind of day with the winds switching constantly and gusting a bit too much at times. I would like to have had a longer flight but my shoulders were torched so had to work for the landing as the air didn't want to let me down easily.

Bridge it. Planks are too low so arch a bridge over it to give the flow a space with room to grow in melt.
My 11 year old son was just yelling about this yesterday in a tirade against removing the penny.
The truck can wait for now. I need a break for my brain. We test drove the sled yesterday and went up to Loon Lake for ice cream. As we headed north the clouds were pretty badass with the slew of little storms that had built and were streaming across the region.
The club is going flying today so I hope to actually get a long flight in if I can manage to follow along.

I love seeing the herds of them driving north of Casper. Used to be my normal cut off between I94 and I80.
Paragliding is the closest I've been to the birds soaring without flapping. It's truly glorious and maddeningly addictive.
It's my hope. I've yet to really ride a thermal, just little tastes of them.
