Not the easiest of days yesterday but I got a few main tasks done. The grain haul in the morning had the animals and birds happy while the mowing mid day made me happy with the much better look to the farm. Still a lot to mow but the difference is very noticeable and hopefully I won't need to do it again this summer.

After our drive up to 3 Rocks first thing yesterday morning where we got some killer views and I found potential launch sites, we headed over into Idaho for the day. Breakfast in Spirit Lake, Bookstores in CDA, then Lunch in Priest River. We then went out later with the boys for dinner closer to home.

Damn Hot yesterday! Went and flew at Inkler's after helping mow the road and launch. Short flights but feeling much more comfortable with each. The car just about blew up on my way home but thankfully the food pantry was open so I could get water for the radiator. The leak is slow so I made it home, to see the 3 big Fir trees dropped on the hillside for me. I have a lot of chainsaw work to do the cooler days...

After a delicious stop at Iron Horse Brewery in Ellensburg yesterday we made it home from the trip, just missing the freeway closure in Moses Lake due to a car v human. The #garlic had a slew of scapes that were ready for me to pick and I got a good amount of them but there are still a handful at least left to cut today. Very nice;ly my coop door code is working and the door is opening at 7am and closing at 9pm!

Badass flight at Tiger Mountain yesterday, my first at the site. Nice half hour flight with a perfect landing. Great food at the brew pub right near the race track I hadn't been to in 35 years, then we went to Maynard James Keenan's last stop for his 61st birthday tour Sessenta 2.0 at the White River Aphitheater. SUCH A GREAT CONCERT!!!!!

The alpaca loves water. She dives into any fresh amount of water but especially loves the wading pools. With the heat coming this year I need to get the mister setup again in hopes that she will use it.
The raspberry plants are goign to be overloaded with berries this year and in the next ouple weeks should start pumping them out by the bucket loads.

Shitty code is shitty code. I wrote far too much for the most basic task of turning a motor, waiting, turning it the opposite way, and wait again. That's what happens when you don't know what you're doing. But it works now with just a handful of lines compared to the wall of text before. Door opens at 7am and closes at 9pm thanks to delay(). After the radiator hose swap in the morning yesterday I got my new flight deck and reserve container setup and I love it! So much better than my old one. The winds were shit for kiting though I tried none-the-less. The garlic hs been mostly weeded but there is still some to deal with along the fence. Looks like I will end up with under the 1000 I had planted as there are a few gaps in the rows.

HOLY BALLS! That was a total accident yesterday, I didn't mean to fly, honestly I was juist kiting and on my last time for the session got plucked 10 feet over launch. I managed to keep myself safe and ended up gliding parallel to the highway and landed between the guard rail and the creek. I stomped my landing perfectly. 1 minute unintentional flight that I am still a bit in shock that I managed...

Intersting flight yesterday that saw my wing folding a few times after launch as I tried to get my feet in my pod. It didn't bother me thankfully and I was able to get a good first flight for the site. The potential it really good but hte conditions need to be right.
Got much of the garlic weeded but have about a 1/4 left today. They are all looking great and the scapes have yet to start popping. I've got my eye on them though and will snip any the moment I see them.

After raking the launch in the morning I was up in the afternoon kiting. I still have more work to do on it to get the stumps cut down but it still is workable. Tight location, the wind shadow behind the hill edge, and inconsistent winds make it a rather difficult location to work with but it will only make me better at handling my wing.

After cutting the grass on launch I got some #kiting in yesterday but the winds were not exactly cooperating with me. It would blast then die, then thermals would roll through from the SE and switch the winds all around. It ended up getting WAY too strong so went back down to the house. I have a lot of debris still to clear and stumps to flush cut but it's workable now.

Kited my launch site on the farm today. Funky ass winds wouldn't stay going so I only got the wing in the air for moments. Need to rake now that the grass is cut to remove the pine cones and sticks. I can't wait to launch! This will demand I get great at wing handling and I may have to bring my old wing up to kite so as not to beat up my flying wing.

Crazy busy day yesterday between the track event, school concert, co-op pickup, then the trip to the distillery. 2 Loons is badass and a true small batch distillery, the best kind there is. Since they have opened I have stared at the building as I drove by each time without ever stopping but thanks to the early Father's day surprise we finally stopped in.

The #paragliding launch is cleared of trees, now I just need to climb a few tall pines to cut some overhanging branches, cut the grass, and move any sharp debris. I got an hour of kiting in mid day before it rained and managed to get the wing in the air a few times. It'll be a lot eassier now with the extra space. Once the boys got home we then finished the clearing and moving.

I got my launch mainly finished yesterday. Had to climb 4 trees to top them and still need to climb 2 full size pines to lopp some branches off. As I was up there I looked up and one of our bald eagles was thermalling right over my head, about 500 feet up without a flap of its wings, gaining altitude the whole time. There-by proving there is potential for lift.

This is my daily driver to get my pics to my computer from my phone, on the 1st of the month I move them all to a storage drive and delete from my phone. 7+gb of mostly pics with a few vids a month.
Started clearing my launch and kiting site. I WILL fly from my property and soar the 100ft ridge that runs for a mile to the south.

Yeah it was important for me to not let it get to me too much and get back in the air asap.
Yesterday was another day of flying with a 5k hike up to the top of the ridge and a 15 minute flight down. Came across a clutch of day old turkey chicks on the hike up and it was kinda funny watching the hen freak out so much. The flight was a "back on the horse" flight for me after the big collapse happened so did not need it to be super long. In 5 days I got 2 hikes and 4 flights in.
