I think it’s unlikely. I think the move with the 1 btc reward was just an attempt to target the mathematically inclined audience, which is definitely present within the bitcoin community.

People have speculated that "Satoshi" is actually Mochizuki. Why? Both are "anonymous" & have bee involved in controversy.

In order to get people take a closer look at his proof, Mochizuki offered a reward of 1 #bitcoin for anyone who could understand it. To date, no one has claimed the reward.
