Okay, I may have to take at least some of this back. I do kind of resent how everything these days is tied to apps, and if you don't have or can't use a Smartphone you're pretty much left out of all of it.
Remember in the 90s and early 2000s how just about every primetime show had at least 1 episode about the evils of the internet? Usually it was a lot more than that. And a lot of people we knew felt the same way.
I know a lot of corporations are making bad decisions regarding how technology should be used, but that's not a good reason to hate the technology itself.
Gee I'm just full of random thoughts tonight. But you know what? That's my favorite way to be!
Anyway, at the moment I was thinking about how in the book The Wizard of Oz, the Wicked Witch of the West isn't really such a major character as compaired to the movie, and how I was strangely a little disappointed by this.

I think the problem is that most people have the mindset of, "oh, if only we could make this one change in government or economics or society, then all the problems we're having would just go away and life would be perfect!" Nope, bad humans are always going to exist, and sometimes systems just have to run their course and change with the times.

In fact I'm listening to one of those things now, a Teddy Ruxpin tape. Well, an MP3 of it, anyway. Part of it is just nostalgia, of course, but also, the songs are great, the people involved were and are just so talented, and many of the stories are just fun!
