Call me Kate or Katie. , Recent kidney transplant recipient! Almost totally blind, I'm here for Muppets, Star Trek, cartoons, fanfiction and friends. I also am finding I spend a lot of time talking about the need for alt text. Please use it.

Remember in the 90s and early 2000s how just about every primetime show had at least 1 episode about the evils of the internet? Usually it was a lot more than that. And a lot of people we knew felt the same way.

I know a lot of corporations are making bad decisions regarding how technology should be used, but that's not a good reason to hate the technology itself.

Gee I'm just full of random thoughts tonight. But you know what? That's my favorite way to be!

Anyway, at the moment I was thinking about how in the book The Wizard of Oz, the Wicked Witch of the West isn't really such a major character as compaired to the movie, and how I was strangely a little disappointed by this.

Sound baths are amazing! Have you ever had one?

Yes, those two options do sound similar. I think that would be fun to do (well, for once or twice)

nostr:npub1pwa2upwhg63thuf8vh5g6lvn7wnchnhxp0xl06smkak4yv7a8f7szzcayt Well Worf would have more privacy during his time off, which is nice.

I always thought of Worf living on the Defiant like camping in the backyard. Not that extreme. #AllStarTrek

Hi #AllStarTrek fans! Yay, I didn't miss my favorite episode! Alexa told me I did, but that shouldn't be a surprise, lol. I should've remembered Worf was in this episode. That would've helped.

#TeddyRuxpin introduced me to the great American songbook.

Every now and then I realize I'm still working a little on not being apologetic for still liking things I did when I was a kid. Tonight's question from nostr:npub18ljjwuh8vt0lrh3fe3vsefddt40u297gtsk3d4v4ywhjnvms9zfqy480hq is good practice for that. Thank you!

nostr:npub18ljjwuh8vt0lrh3fe3vsefddt40u297gtsk3d4v4ywhjnvms9zfqy480hq Ooh, I feel like this question was made for me! lol Actually there's very little that I loved as a kid that I don't like at least a little now on some level.

In fact I'm listening to one of those things now, a Teddy Ruxpin tape. Well, an MP3 of it, anyway. Part of it is just nostalgia, of course, but also, the songs are great, the people involved were and are just so talented, and many of the stories are just fun!

nostr:npub1cxywd2xxlkp6ddavtaz9nuxug03q254w7csupeshqw9244j463tq0wvryr This is true, yes. I don't miss the ads, though. Well, modern ads. I saw some 60s ads recently, and those I actually enjoyed.

nostr:npub1xhvayrnksrptmztd8dfjsp3grmfj6x62k6x7czaa36smcrmmpd5qfk07js Ooh, where did you see retromercials on regular TV? They used to have them on TV Land when it first started, but no more.

Sorry if I said this before, and I'm not fishing for anything, but I just want to put it out there that the blip sound when a notification comes in is one of the little things in life that makes me happy.
