Hence we need more theory and stories about art also. Thanks.
Thatās cool. We all have different ways of expressing ourselves and ideas to others. šš»
Art history and theory. Discussions about how painting and other artwork connect us to this world and the meanings and thoughts behind producing them. As much as people like a sunny beach and mountain landscape they also like deeper thought and discussions about it. Some people even like an explanation that they might not of thought about before.
Grayson Perry.
Inspired by
The Arnolfini Portrait 1434 by Jan Van Eyck.
This tapestry is inspired by the artistās visit to an area in south east England, which reportedly had the highest average household income in the UK. The kitchen table at the centre is like a still life of objects showing Timās middle class wealth: organic vegetables, a cafetiĆØre of coffee, a jug of fresh flowers and homemade jam. Timās computer software business has been very successful and the headlines on the newspaper on the table and on the iPad announce that he has just sold his company to a billionaire businessman for a large amount of money.
Grayson thought it refreshing to use tapestries -traditionally a symbol of the rich to depict a commonplace drama within working class areas and produce a social commentary on the current generation.
The victory tapestries of John Churchill at Blenheim Palace also inspired this work.
Thanks for starting the conversation šš¼
My friend this is nail on the head stuff. I couldnāt put this in a more perfect way. Everyone should take note of this.
I will do my best on here to improve this situation and improve peopleās understanding of art and NFTās. So many have been burnt.
Letās take nostr:npub1gwa27rpgum8mr9d30msg8cv7kwj2lhav2nvmdwh3wqnsa5vnudxqlta2sz for example. Seems a great guy but this is a total rip of Keith Haring. How do people not see this.
nostr:npub17nd4yu9anyd3004pumgrtazaacujjxwzj36thtqsxskjy0r5urgqf6950x can sure help with some art history
Havenāt seen any art history from that account yet.
I mean I can do. I think those major galleries are just cashing in at the moment and it wonāt last (itās over). Iāve been to a few shows and if you look at the coverage itās mostly images of the people who attend rather than the work. Also if you look at the art itās a total rip-off of major works throughout art history that the average person has no clue about. Iāve seen it so many times itās embarrassing.
There all shite!! Good enough?
Canāt tell if thatās serious š§
I think this is true for lots of people here. Definitely the way to go! Thank you.
More art history!!!! Love it.
What art themes are most popular on #Nostr?
What do you like to view? Modern, contemporary, conceptual? Photography for sure.
Do you want more art history? Theory? Or a mix of it all.
Please let me know your preferences. #Artstr #art club.
Sure is. Beautiful place to stay, read and relax. The interior was stunning.
Even though I totally agree about the British banking system. Farage is being paid to use the CBDC news on British channels whilst directing people to sign up for a financial package with a firm who push clients to purchase gold. Although this is still good for bitcoin šš»
And your writing a whole book on this? Folk songs tell us so much about our wonderful history from working class roots. Do you prefer the older folk/ sea shanty type, Nordic or like Woody Guthrie?
