maybe one interesting angle is that it used to be a necessary idea, but bitcoin removes that necessity, which is nice. what we get with bitcoin will arguably be an even purer form of what about it was initially good.

Banks

banks in the classical sense are very useful. in the modern sense they are awful and exploitative. not so interesting or original a take, I’m afraid.

she’s very much in the ā€œeverything is a shitcoin, HODL foreverā€ camp. I’m proud of what I’ve achieved on this one.

if needed will happen spontaneously and form a schelling point with signal proportionate to the direness of the need. if not needed, irrelevant. in either case doesn’t need to be worried about for 50+ years and never needs to be planned for.

next.

seems like that hot take wasn’t so hot after all. what should I start arguing in favour of that will really wind people up?

me: ā€œlol. I’m gonna postr that. I’ll probably get zapped.ā€

mrs allen: ā€œTHEN DON’T ZAP THEM BACK!ā€

me: ā€œI’m just chillin over here, gettin zapped, zappin em back.ā€

mrs allen: ā€œzapping them back? why? are you an idiot? don’t do that.ā€

it’s fun to check in from time to time to see if it’s still as clowny as you remember.

anybody wanna fill me in on if this whole ā€œpanic in DCā€/Tucker/Jan6 debacle is as hilarious as it seems?

as repeatedly mentioned, I’m trying to stay off twitter but I’m basically wondering if I can work it all out just by imagining the stupidest possible explanation šŸ˜‚

ā€œit’s a braw bricht nostricht nicht the nicht!ā€
