I normally would never think to burn an American flag, even though I find the worship and idolatry of the symbol a bit disturbing, nonsensical and weird.

I am a free American citizen. And if I ever feel like torching one, I will. It’s my own money, I can go to Walmart, buy an american flag made in China and do whatever the fuvk I want with it. It’s MY property.
SCOTUS has already ruled a few times that burning a flag is free speech. If I have to demonstrate how to exercise the freedoms WE WERE FUCKING BORN WITH, I will.

Every time I post here on Nostr I seem to get at least 1 sat zapped to me, sometimes as much as a few hundred sats. I also own this data, it’s cryptographically tied to me, and I make instant, real money off of stupid content spewed directly from my brain. Why would I post anywhere else??

It is absolutely insane that you can currently take a $1 bill, a worthless piece of paper that they can PRINT, and you can trade that shit piece of paper that doesn’t even work well for toilet paper and trade it for 950 satoshis.
NINE HUNDRED AND FIFTY FUCKING SATOSHIS. For ONE PIECE OF SHIT DOLLAR?! Before you know it, a dollar will only buy you 500 satoshis. Then only 100 satoshis. Then only 10 satoshis. Then only 1 satoshi. If we’re really lucky, we may still be able to trade $100 bills for a single Satoshi in the future.
But the reality is that somewhere in between all these price points, there may likely be a scenario where people aren’t willing to trade their satoshis for dollars anymore. Because dollars can be printed. They’re worthless. We’re sitting on a major opportunity right now where we can still get almost 1,000 sats for a single worthless dollar. It would be a shame to piss that opportunity away as the dollar collapses over the next few years.
I had a guy start renting one of my rooms a few months ago and he’s with a small startup trying to build some kind of “Hope and Kindness” blockchain as a smart contract into Solana where companies like Publix would participate and hand these tokens out to their customers for their loyalty rewards programs and it’s beneficial because then customers own their own data.
I don’t really understand the whole pitch yet but the questions I’ve been asking lead me to believe that whatever they’re building doesn’t need a blockchain, it can be built into Nostr and instead of their bullshit 170 billion “Hope and kindness” tokens that will be pre-mined, they can introduce Bitcoin rewards, which will interest a lot more customers like me. It’s starting to irritate me how committed he seems to be to this project that I’m 95% sure is going to go nowhere and end up stealing a lot of his time and energy. But I think I also just see things very differently because I have adopted the Bitcoin standard and no longer have any care in the world for what fiat does.
Maybe I’m missing something and I’m just being an asshole but on the other hand I don’t see how a shitcoin like Solana is even going to be around in 10-20 years so to be building an application on that platform seems like a stupid idea to me.
Been a while since I’ve been on Nostr. I keep thinking about how much better this product is than any other form of social media but unfortunately X and Facebook do a much better job of keeping my attention. BUT, if I just make a commitment to form a new habit of posting here every day and engaging for 30-60 minutes, this platform will be keeping my attention a lot better. Not to mention the raw power of actually owning my data here and being able to send and receive sats is an opportunity I’m sick of missing out on.

I can’t believe so many people actually think electing Trump again will fix anything. He’ll continue to print money, he’ll never drain the swamp, he’ll be overjoyed to have 87k new IRS agents to use on us, Hilary won’t ever go to prison, Julian Assange and Edward Snowden still won’t get pardoned, tensions will continue to escalate both domestically and internationally, and everything else will just continue to get worse.
Trump is an actor. He’s in on the scam and still tries to claim his operation warpspeed saved lives. Our only option to avoid war, hyperinflation, CBDCs, and other tyrannical nightmares is to actually DO what Jesus would have done if he were real. Quit allowing evil entities to take freely whatever they want from the fruits of your labor. Giving your money to them only hurts you financially and strengthens them while incentivizing them to look for reasons to take more and provide less.
If we don’t do this collectively, and just hope and pray that things might somehow someday change from the inside if we just vote harder, if we just keep giving them free reign over the fruits of our labor and the ability to print as much fiat as they want whenever they want, if we just “trust the plan” and expect someone else to take the big risks and hope that somebody somewhere is going to save us from this mess… we’re screwed. It’s up to all of us as individuals to simply tell them to go fuck themselves and exit the system by withdrawing our labor from a corrupt system.
