In principle, no.

The cost of opportunity you're incurring is exactly the same as if you spend bitcoin bought with fiat. In the end you're losing bitcoin.

It's not. It's a lousy currency compared to the current fiat payment rails available is most countries. At most, it can still be a replacement for cash when it is eventually banned.

As a store of wealth, however, nothing comes close to it.

And no, you don't need to spend it, ever, just like you don't usually need to sell your house to buy groceries unless you fucked up really badly. If you're doing things right, you will be able to borrow against it and invest in other assets that bring cash flow to pay back the loan and keep your bitcoin intact,

Even if LLMs were not an evolutionary dead end for a future AI and truly were its basis, or a partial solution that will be used for it, saying the we have "artificial intelligence" because we have LLMs is like placing the apparition of intelligent life with the first metazoa.

That's because we haven't developed AI, just LLMs which it seems are something totally different. We should probably start to make that distinction strongly, otherwise when the actual AI comes we won't know what to call it.

Also, it'd be cool if we had previews of YouTube links etc.

Is all this browser-related though? I don't even know if it's a Coracle thing, so forgive me if I'm asking you to fix something that's not for you to fix to begin with.

I for one am ready to embrace all that liquidit... I mean, good people.

I've always found the Tree of Liberty quote one of the peaks of political philosophy.

https://youtu.be/wQos-Q2Tym4

Football rights recently caused a judge in Spain to threat to shut down Telegram. Such a thing would at the same time make Nostr's adoption and popularity instantly go mainstream in Spain, Italy, Argentina, Brazil, etc., and put on the radar of all the bad actors (namely, governments).

I say let's do it.

Do these guys even make financial sense?

I'm not looking to make a net gain between cost of electricity+cost of hardware spread along X time vs amount of sats mined. I would run if the cost was the same as buying BTC on Bisq, for instance.

I get it, and I agree.

But I also think Trump did and continues to do something of a historically enormous value which in time will have to be recognized and deserves support -- liquidating the Neocon wing of the Republican Party.

This has forced their twins in the Democrat Party to unmask themselves ad the interventionist, imperialist, incestuous partners of Big Money.

Everybody correctly identifies Bush, Cheney, etc. as Neocon, but few do the same with Clinton, Obama, etc. to the point that we do not even have a term for them (because the Neocon movement was also religious and socially conservative).

The reality is that they are two factions of exactly the same people, each infiltrating one of the two electoral options Americans insist they can only have. But now they are lame, only one of the two legs is standing. Hence the hysteria.

Whenever I encounter a Malthusian, I just ask them when do they plan to kill themselves and their children if they have them.

It's usually enough to cause a change of subject.

It's an easy question though. Steam allows you to buy videogames, while a sauna just makes you sweat.

Follow for more life advice.

You know being a bitcoiner is being short the USD, so I'm with you on that.

But that in my opinion doesn't mean the USD will be replaced by anything the "BRICS" can come up with.

If the USD is absolute trash, imagine the hypermanipulated RMB, the useless Russian Ruble, etc. There is no alternative to the USD as a fiat currency for trade and for reserve. None. They all go to zero, but the USD will be the last one of the lot.

Beavers' dam-building instinct is one of those things people with low critical skills and education tend to anthropomorphize, leading to absurd beliefs like "beaver intelligence".

In fact, beavers build dams based on a purely evolutionary instinct, and a very narrow one at that, because it's based entirely on sound. They build dams packed with mud and wood to isolate their burrows and food storage chambers from water leaks. But they can't even identify a leak visually, only when the sound of running water is clear and loud enough.

So you can literally stick a hose inside a beaver burrow and destroy it by slowly flooding it. The beaver won't do anything about it. Similarly, you can make beavers build burrows on dry land. All you need to do is play the sound of running water on a speaker - they will build the burrow on top of the "leak", that is, the speaker.

Intelligence is the ability to solve new problems, which beavers clearly lack. Ditto for ants, nesting birds and so on. Instinct can mimic intelligence, but it's mostly our own human brain, which is so good at and so trained at finding patterns, looking for "higher meaning" where there is none.

BTW this wasn't a commentary on the meme. The meme is funny. I like the meme.

Yeah, I'd mean the second XD Masculine feet surely must have an audience, even if niche. Your friend will probably be alone in the market and able to monopolize it. At least for a while.
