Nostr is a reimplementation of RSS. Use the nostr app that looks pretty to you and shape what you see by selecting relays you enjoy (future blurb about self selected algos)

Do you know RSS? Nostr is basically a reimplementation of RSS.

Or maybe this will help. Think of damus as a web browser. Its not a platform. It just grabs content from other websites (relays)

So "how do I work this app" is kinda like "how do I work my web browser" not to say that its as easy as a web browser, but that on a technical level that's what's going on.

It also makes for fun comments from people on other platforms being like "I went on nostr and saw someone have this insane take" but that's like "I went on the internet and saw someone have this insane take" like okay, were you on 4chan or? Like which website? (On nostr you'd ask, "which relays?")

I have no idea what app you're using. I find nostros works pretty well for getting rid of relays I don't like and connecting to relays I do like tho.

Apk files are android apps you can install from a web browser.

would you mind changing this? i think it’s funny, but primal is not getting the praise it deserves unfortunately

They will continue to shit on it until a client releases with a default relay set of users that conform to their idea of how the world works is released.

The future has always been echo chambers

Fiat Maxis Tryna Figure Out Bitcoin Like

He's a scammer himself! He said "Its clear the SEC wants to label Bitcoin a security" but Gary has explicitly said Bitcoin is the only one he would outright say is not a security!

80k sat bounty (about $20) if you can explain the problem of transaction batching for channel close txs and if/how that problem applies to splice in splice out transactions

How do we replicate your immunity to getting scammed Roya?

Why Not Use Testnet Before You Buy?

You know there is a lot of "go buy Bitcoin" and "go play with these wallets" but you know what? Lets just tell people to go use testnet first. Its not like you got to do a bunch of complicated setup first or anything.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.schildbach.wallet_test&hl=en_US&gl=US&pli=1

There is also a testnet release for blixt on the github: https://github.com/hsjoberg/blixt-wallet/releases

Blixt is of course a lightning wallet. So if you wanted to play with that without using real coins this is how you would do it.

What do you guys think? Why aren't we starting people with testnet wallets first?
