Actually two of my brothers are electricians and make a good living. We have placed so much emphasis on going to college, must don't know that they can pursue a good career elsewhere.
I quit seed oils a couple of years ago. One thing I noticed, I don't sunburn anywhere near as easy as I used to and I actually like the sun now.
Seed oils are absolute poison.
This video, by a young electrician's apprentice in Canada, is one of the more impressive things I have seen in a while.
If I had an electrical company, I'd hire her in an instant.
This is a good video for anyone that is out of high school and trying to find a good job.
The trades are a great place to work and much needed!

They are defiantly the devil!
I have had better luck with the 1/4 turn shutoffs.
Do you know what a "tenth of an inch" is?
Are you sure?
The manufacturing floor has certain terms for the decimal places in dimensions; and they are not what you think they would be.
Let's take a look...
Given the decimals places behind a measurement given in inches say 0.123456" .
Each place has a slang term associated with it.
The first four places (1, 2, 3, 4) are associated with a thousandth of an inch, the fifth (5) is associated with a millionth of inch.
You can learn what to call each on the attached illustration.
Now, you know how to give measurements in a way that machinists understand.
If you call them a different name in your shop, please let me know in the comments!

Good morning nostr!
If you are not breaking things…
You’re not learning!

Welcome to nostr!
One of the woodworking cult classics…
You can learn some really good wood finishing techniques from “Furniture to Go”.
It was on the TLC channel in the mid Nineties.

Want to understand GD&T Form Controls and their symbols?
Form Controls are foundational as they do not necessitate datums for their definition and often define your Primary Datums.
Here's a quick guide:
✅ Straightness: Represents the variance of a given line from an ideal line.
✅ Flatness: Represents the variance of a specified plane from an ideal plane. This form is one of the most widely used forms that you will see in drawings.
✅ Circularity: Represents the variance of a predetermined circle from a perfect circle.
✅ Cylindricity: Represents the variance of a defined cylinder from a perfect cylinder.
Grasping the concepts behind these symbols can enhance your understanding of your drawings and enhance your ability to manufacture and measure your parts.
