From woodworking to aerospace, 30+ years of hands-on experience—sharing lessons, skills, and shop insights.

I'm not smart enough to design something like that...😁

To all the people out there that want to learn woodworking; here is a simple wood joint anybody can do!

With it you can easily get to building simple wood projects.

It is all about learning and doing!

A special thanks to nostr:npub1n0pdxnwa4q7eg2slm5m2wjrln2hvwsxmyn48juedjr3c85va99yqc5pfp6 for the inspiration to make this video! Cheers!

I will be putting out one video every week. I am enjoying it and helping others.

I want to see what happens in life if I do this for at least ten years, low time preference and all. 😉

I am looking at nostr apps, when this time is right I'll strart with them. I don't want to put all my video eggs in one youtube basket.

However, my social media is pretty much nostr only.

The one thing I forgot in the video, with the miter box you just need to buy the pre-milled wood stock at like Lowes and such. The pine and poplar they sell is ver straight and smooth and you can buy it a the widths good for the box shelves. Like I said, start small so you are just measuring and cutting to length. The width you have already bought.

Also there is a larger miter box that Stanley sells that is a hand saw you might look at. I was pretty limited by what I wanted to do within the budget.

He was very kind to not only answer my question, but also put a whole video together. Its amazing how this inspires me to want to get the basic tools. I have a hammer, a tape measurer, and can borrow a drill, so I really only need the remaining items!!! This is super doable.

Please give it a watch and a like! And follow the man!

Thank you for the kind words! I am here to help my fellow nostriches! Cheers!

I am very glad you enjoyed it! You are very welcome. I could do some videos on how to do it. However, I don't have the hand miter saw like the Stanley. But, it will take some practice to get the hang of it.

You can do this! You just take things a step at a time. First learn to measure and cut, then saw, nail, glue, etc. Your want to do projects will push your learning. Any questions you have just let me know. I can answer them for you and others.

I am doing this as I have a lifetime of skills to pass on. Its fun to watch others being excited to learn a new skill.

Here you go! Hot off the press! I hope it answers some questions for you. If you have any others feel free to ask. Cheers!

ANOTHER ADDITION OF NOSTR Q&A!

This time answering a question about buying your first woodworking tools on a budget!

🫡 Thank you, nostr:npub1n0pdxnwa4q7eg2slm5m2wjrln2hvwsxmyn48juedjr3c85va99yqc5pfp6 for submitting a great question!

That npub you can take to any client you want. It's not an account on Primal. Primal accesses the nostr protocol via your keys. Cheers!

You could do the coin app also.

My dad was into bugs and pinning them out in the old fashioned cigar boxes. He went on trips to deep parts of Mexico in the 60's to collect insects, lizard etc for Texas A&M.

I got it down to the most well rounded basics were you won't be really wasting anything as you get more skills and tools. Trying to get it down to right a $100, I'm over $11. I think I have squeezed all I can! Would have been easier a few years ago!
