Would any #tunestr plebs be interested in a nostr exclusive opportunity to pre-purchase limited edition, numbered copies of bands' vinyl albums? Trying to gauge appetite...
Each vinyl includes full album art, hopefully a pull out poster, and 10 tracks that are professionally recorded, mixed, mastered, and pressed. Looking to release around February.
The Velvicks have already recorded at the Foo Fighters studio and are currently mixing/mastering. The Retrograde will be recording next week at FAME Studios.
Not going to lie, it's been a grind trying to get significant investments and have been bootstrapping it all. We have an ambitious concept of creating a close knit music community to foster creativity and help discover the next generation of rock gods. The concept includes a retail store, a small stage, recording studio, dispensary, and a VIP smoking lounge.
I think local businesses are crucial to the Bitcoin cause. We will implement a strategy I call "shadow pilling" where the customer's monthly paid VIP membership gives them sats back, every month, deposited in the lightning wallet on their store app. This can be used to zap the store jukebox, purchase merch and vinyls, book tickets, etc. To the average normie, this will just look like store points, but for the curious minds who study Bitcoin, they'll come to realize they're actually getting real bitcoin every month! They'll be orange pilled before they even realize it!

Agreed, but I wouldn't leave the hardware device in my residence / workplace etc. Still need to treat it like a multisig.
Not at present, but it makes sense to unlock using biometrics as it validates the authorised user is making the transaction.

Yep, you need to unlock it with fingerprint to authorise transactions requiring the hardware wallet!

- mempool.space used as the default explorer
- bech32 addresses by default
- Hardware device is required to enable / modify the spending limit that can be done using phone app only (maximum $200/day)
- Can select Tx fee using Priority / Standard / Slow options
- 'Slow' correctly estimated the current 3 sat/vB rate
- Still very impressed by the ease of setup and use

As the Nostr quickly gained popularity amongst Bitcoiners, there are larger percentage of users here who share common interests.
Due to the changes made by Elon, the consensus on Bluesky is that Twitter is now a right-wing platform. Accordingly, it is being more heavily adopted by those on the left.
I suspect this will change over time, but not until both protocols gain greater adoption.
So does your exchange or alternate 2/3 multisig wallet provider. It isn't a wallet for your KYC corn.

They aren't referring to any negative content on the Nostr, just that it's a protocol used by reasonable people with more conservative values.
