Yeah, it's much smaller than I imagined. Has a nice weight to it though and feels quite premium.
Notes on the Bitkey:
- Easiest setup experience of any wallet I've used
- Hardware feels really solid, nice build quality
- 2/3 multisig with no seed phrase
- Mobile app and server key can authorise small transactions (dollar amount is user configurable)
- Mobile app and hardware device is required to authorise larger transactions
- Email is required during setup to facilitate recovery if mobile phone / hardware device is lost
- Phone number is optional (from memory)
- Can integrate Cash App / Coinbase for direct purchases to the wallet
- Block can see your transaction data
The app / hardware device is still in beta, however the simplicity of the setup process is near perfect.
While most of us will still prefer a Coldcard, Passport or Jade, those devices aren't for everyone.
I suspect Block will advertise via Cash App and sell a ridiculous amount of these devices, which is great for self-custody but comes at the expense of privacy.
Most importantly, this is not a wallet for your KYC-free corn.

The floppening.

Nice, that'll probably cover 3.5 weeks of Sentinel logs!
In all seriousness though, Microsoft have a pretty robust offering, ASDs strategy is built around their stack, and they are doing a decent job at implementation.
All good, we couldn't do it due to Chris being unwell and my availability.
Jimmy Song on next week though! 💪🏻
Not yet, but at some inflection point these tools will enable faster development with better performance.
Look at DeepMind's agents, which can learn themselves and train other agents.
I suspect the existing AI tools are going to advance extremely rapidly.
ML, DL, Natural Language Processing etc are all AI, they just aren't General AI.
Atlas Shrugged was formational in helping me to und Bitcoin.
Highly recommend checking it out!

[bitcoin-dev] OP_Expire and Coinbase-Like Behavior: Making HTLCs Safer by Letting Transactions Expire Safely
tl;dr: this proposal would fix the recent lightning exploit Antoine found by making disabling the preimage branch of HTLCs once the timeout is reached.
Traditionally we've been dubious about making it possible for transactions to become invalid in the future. But in the post I argue that it is acceptable if we treat them similar to coinbase outputs, preventing outputs that may expire from being spent until they have 100 confirmations.
Agree, seems like a pragmatic approach.
Due to illness and my availability, The SATurday Bitcoin Show will not be aired today.

Congratulations! 🧡💜
I may as well try to prove that mermaids and dragons do not exist.
