ML, DL, Natural Language Processing etc are all AI, they just aren't General AI.
Which is kinda made up and not widely used term that was coined later because actual AI failed at those times. In other words - another stupid manipulation
And of course AIs can’t do anything described in the post. And of course nobody in govts are afraid if “AI” 😂
This is literally the narrative being spread. That “access to some of these AI tools are like anyone having a nuclear bomb.” I’ve heard this exact argument countless times.
If everyone had a nuclear bomb, I bet they wouldn’t have mandated the mRNA shot.
Not yet, but at some inflection point these tools will enable faster development with better performance.
Look at DeepMind's agents, which can learn themselves and train other agents.
I suspect the existing AI tools are going to advance extremely rapidly.
I never liked the term AI but it stuck and if you use vector databases, LLMs, speech models, and all the more accurate terminology then nobody knows wtf you are talking about.
If you say ”AI” they immediately go, “oh you mean like ChatGPT?”

IMO its ok to say AI in terms of technology that detects persons face on iphone, or places in warcraft against you or whatever
However if you want to seriously talk about Artificial Intelligent capabilities and its impact on human life and you know all those words - then its your responsibility to explain your readers/listeners there is no artificial intelligence in existence and even on the horizon (even if you believe that it somehow can change the game). If you don’t do this and just say “AI will help people to defeat govts” you use the same manipulation tactics that are used by everyone who wants hype on social media
