Also regarding the manipulation of the price of #gold, keep in mind that the premium is as important as the spot price. Although the spot price can be manipulated, the premium is up to free markets. There is a reason people are willing to pay about 100% over spot price for a #goldback. There is no limit to how high this premium can rise.

That’s a good point, and I think it should help preserve your notes. However, most relays don’t seem to have that as an obligation (i.e. they might purge notes that are older than a set amount of time).

Maybe check out this tool if you haven’t already: https://nostryfied.online

It’s supposed to broadcast your notes to more relays, but more importantly, back them up. Still on the lookout for how to use the backup file tho.

Thanks, I haven’t tried this service yet but I’ll check it out.

Yes, the price of #gold is being suppressed through paper gold contracts. Some say this state of affair can’t be maintained forever and although I agree, the timeline as to when it will happen is unclear. I wouldn’t necessarily buy #goldbacks to become wealthy (although I think they have the potential to lead to this outcome) but rather to hedge against the coming #CBDC and other measures aiming to control what you can do with your money. It’s also a good hedge against #inflation. It’s really easy to transact with goldbacks. They will be a great replacement for #cash when it will be phased out.

One thing I really like about #goldbacks is that the government doesn’t have the power to deprecate a #goldback note as they can do with a USD note (as the Indian government did not too long ago). If the US government says that tomorrow $100 bills are now worth $0, everybody will stop accepting $100 bills. No one can claim that a goldback note is $0 because the notes will still contain the #gold and will remain fungible with other goldback notes.

My understanding is that connecting to more #relays may help my posts to be preserved over time. It seems that many of my posts have been lost for reasons that are unclear to me.

Is there any drawback for a #Nostr user to connect to « too many » #relay?

It looks like YouTube already suppressed this interview… You can still watched it on #Odysee. Some great DIY #health advices towards the end of interview.

The #aliens subject is probably the topic with the most #psyop and counter-psyops. Even those who have researched the topic in depth can’t know the full extent of what’s legit and what’s propaganda. Personally, I think Richard Dolan is one #UFO researcher than can be trusted. If you’re not too familiar with the #alien subject, it’s probably a good place to start.

This is an insane attack on #Bitcoin and #FOSS… You can still contribute to the defense fund: https://fossdef.org/

Good to see #Odysee moving towards brighter outlooks by partnering with #Arweave and its ecosystem. Odysee goals to fully decentralized are also reaffirmed.

I don’t really understand how people with no wallet can receive the sats. Do you mean that you’ll give a voucher (like a bank note) that they can cash out later? But they would still need to setup a wallet before cashing out the voucher, correct?

Interesting perspective on the #alien mummies presented in Mexico and other #UFO related things.

As I was mentioning in this note: note1yst27jnugn5fjuza4nt5e7fuqrcujjjsxv6yqw2740tuaxvav9rqjlm2md

Here is the debunking article of the Nazca #alien mummy from Snopes.com: https://web.archive.org/web/20230913101302/https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/alien-mummy-peru/

And here is the paragraph from the article that quote the source of the debunking:

« In 2015, Mexican journalist Jaime Maussan, who reported the existence of the Nazca mummy to Gaia and is featured in the video, led an event called Be Witness, at which a mummified body — purportedly that of an alien — was unveiled. Later, though, that "alien" discovery was debunked, and the mummified corpse was shown to be that of a human child. »

The paragraph links to the source article: https://web.archive.org/web/20230727182625/http://kevinrandle.blogspot.com/2015/05/tony-bragalia-and-end-of-roswell-slides.html

The source article discuss about the « Roswell alien slides » which has no connexion to the Nazca alien mummy that the Snopes article has supposedly debunked. It’s unclear why the source article mentions a totally unrelated event. I went go back through the original versions of wayback machine and I couldn’t find a version that mentions the Nazca mummy. Wayback machine has been caught in the past to alter some results but it’s unclear to me what happened with this article.

Why would Snopes.com reference this article to debunk the Nazca mummy? I have no idea but obviously this can’t be called a debunking. If I have to guess it looks like an another attempt at debunking an info by gaslighting the reader.

As I said, I’ve only done cursory research on the topic but I’ve since looked a bit more into it and I can’t find other sources presenting a credible debunking of the Nazca #alien mummy. Obviously, I’m open to contradictory evidence but as it stands saying that those #aliens are fake because Maussan had been caught cheating in the past doesn’t seem to be supported by any evidence and that’s sadly what the USA Today article does…

A lot of folks calling this « distractions » or #psyop. I’m not going to say whether or not these are likely real or fake because I haven’t researched the topic enough but based on the cursory research I’ve made on those who supposedly have debunked prior Maussan’s work, I can say that the debunking they’ve presented are bogus. If there are good evidences that these are fake or that Maussan isn’t credible, please share.

nostr:npub1z06laf0rhhwzd7h0y303hfp6e7r29e8p6vyl2yr7nv5uefdgtcfslny3q9 I think the opposite, actually. Nobody is buying this shit.

From USAToday article:

« In 2015, Maussan unveiled the existence of what was alleged to be an alien body unearthed in Nazca, Peru. Later, though, that "alien" discovery was debunked, and the mummified corpse was shown to be that of a human child with a head deformity, according to fact-checking website snopes.com. »

I haven’t been following Maussan’s work (although I had hear about the Nazca alien) but I know for a fact that Snopes.com had been pushing some fake debunking in the past which made me want to check what this debunking is about. If you look at the Snopes’ article and go back to the original source of the supposed debunking of Maussan’s work, you’ll find out that the debunking is totally bogus. It seems that the debunking source has retracted its claims.

So basically USAToday article attempts to discredit Maussan on the basis of a bogus debunking.
