Question for #nostr - #plebchain - #grownostr - I have used this off and on- mostly on #Damus. I haven’t gained a lot of followers or sats but I am getting really tired of fighting the commies over on instagram etc. what is the best way for a musician to be sharing content on Nostr- I’m thinking of hosting the main videos on my website and rumble and sharing them here. I just wish I could share video here easily. That is the one downside. Anyway, obviously this is a place that can be utilized both to grow a fan base and potentially grow #bitcoin - would love feedback on how to utilize it better. One picture is from this morning. Thinking about this day a little bit this morning, it was my sons first birthday 8 years ago- I was on my first big fire in Washington state. We drove through an eternity of flames on both sides of the road that night. Feeling the heat I remember writing a letter to my boy. We lost 3 firefighters that week and it was a sobering complex to say the least. Ended up being one of the worst in WA state history. I’ve lost friends and mentors since then in the line of duty and think of them often, praying for their families. This year I’m taking some time off to make a record but I plan to get back to work as a volunteer in my community again next season. Praying for all the first responders working through this season. Well- I didn’t perform it in the airport… probably should have, it was inspired by someone wearing a mask more than a year after the mandate had been lifted. I know, I know, who buys CDs anymore? The first was a time period where I was full of piss and vinegar and trying to make a splash in the alt country/country punk world. Toured in support of it with bands like Tumbledown, Two Cow Garage and opened fro Lucero and Turnpike Troubadours and a handful of other alt country artists. The second album Poison in the Wires is something of a concept album largely inspired by reading and learning about the political landscape in the US during the early years of the Obama administration. Here is a link to a tune I wrote a few days ago. It’s called Forest. It’s sorta a song about the internet and sorta song about faith, or rather, trying so hard to prove reasons for faith (to yourself or others) that you wind up missing things along the way. I guess #nostr doesn’t have a good way for me to upload a video like this yet. Every app seems to favor little clips instead of long enough videos for whole songs. TikTok is all about short videos.
