New song, this is likely not the finished product but I’ve been wanting to share it for a bit. I’m playing around with videos a bit but I’m not very good at it yet. This is a song I wrote around the early days of Covid as we all searched for answers on our phones and locked ourselves in our houses. A few months before that I had a vision that sent me on a search. I made a deal with God and told him I’d go back to church if someone was preaching on Genesis. A week later a Pastor I happened to have just met was starting a series on Genesis. I’ve been trying to re learn how to pray ever since. I don’t do well at it every day, and I’m a sinner who needs it. I’ve heard the verse and prayer brought up recently and have been reflecting on it a bit- “Lord I believe, Help my unbelief.” If you don’t pray- or struggle with belief and want to try to pray, a good place to start is to ask for help with unbelief. Okay- so I’m working on two albums and a book, really the book the liner notes for the albums, I’m just long winded so it’s gonna be a book, not a long one, and I don’t think it’ll be a dumb one.

Anyway, I keep seeing all sorts of stuff about #proofofwork posts and it makes me wonder if I couldn’t crowdfund the project somehow with #bitcoin on #nostr - curious. Music on the internet is a pain in the a$$ and I’m making these things regardless of whether or I get paid for it or not. I’ve been doing that my whole life. Never been after getting famous or rich from it. It’s what I am here to do and art is both a blessing and a burden, it’s a burden when you’ve carried it all too long and that is what I did with my music the last ten years. I carried it instead of sharing it.

That has stopped and I’m back to sharing but as I write this, I just transferred some money out of bitcoin cause we we are little lite on cash and I’m like, if this community can fund some of the things I’m seeing funded maybe there is an opportunity to grow this from here.

Curious if anyone has any thoughts on how, I am not a tech guy, I’m decent as a sound engineer and a good songwriter and performer but a lot of of tech things are just beyond me, I’m also not great at marketing. So any ideas for how to frame this and promote it on nostr would be

appreciated. Anyone wanna help me make a few records without any guitars?

I mean- I’ll bite. He isn’t wrong. Look at Bjron Lomberg’s work… he has done an excellent job highlighting overall how good we do have it- across the board. Abject poverty is (or at least was) on track to be ended as we know it by 2030 (meaning we will have to redefine it cause the old definition of living on less than a dollar fifty a day won’t exist). It is possible that that track has shifted as a result of the insane decisions being made by some stupid politicians and bureaucrats. But on the whole, poor people are richer (and fatter) than they have ever been… even if it is hard for many of them to get a leg further up than they would like, like, we have lights, electricity, emergency rooms, food we order at the touch of a button, and now the ability to send money safely and securely without even exchanging email… things are pretty amazing. The western world has it very good and the rest of the world has benefited as a result. As bad as many things people, even me, complain more than we ought to. Anyway. Good morning, happy Sunday.

Not out of a lack of respect- Happy and Blessed Memorial Day- take a moment to reflect on those who have fallen in the service of our nation. (Come at me libertarians/anarchists/antifamorons) - reflecting on that sacrifice today lit a fire under my butt- to do more, to build, to create, to live a life worthy of sacrificing for.
