We did cream of mushroom soup in the slow cooker today with lion's mane, morels, shitakes, and criminis. Plenty of Butter and cream too. Epic.

It's a proven fact that zaps help reduce the pain and inflammation. True Story.

Friday morning fiat mining.

Let's talk simple ingredients and how to elevate them. In the first pic you have some simple shrimp, they were first salted lightly and allowed to drain moisture for about an hour on paper towel. They were then put in a chamber vac bag with the oil from some salsa macha. Then sealed in the chamber vac to speed up marination.

Into the fridge for a few hours. Then removed, blotted dry and put on skewers with fresh red jalapeรฑo from the garden. Right before they go on the grill I will dust them with a bit of chili powder and some black pepper. They will go on the flat top just until done. There is so much flavor in that oil the chili powder is mostly just to give it color on the char.

These will pair with cauliflower rice and grilled ribeye steaks. I will fry the cauliflower in the same oil. The shrimp will get a spoon of salsa macha at the end and the steak is getting topped with a knob of a compound butter made with butter, blue cheese, thyme, garlic and rosemary. I eat like this for less than a burger, fries and coke at Five guys. Tell me again how "keto is boring and lacks variety".

Sounds awesome to me.

When raccoons find a new or unconventional food source they will keep going back till the source I no longer available. Relocating doesn't work well as they are so smart. As an old trapper I know once told me, he more than once relocated a raccoon to the other side of the mountain and they beat him back. Truly there is only one surefire way to keep that particular raccoon from returning.
