As a modest investor, I’ve always liked the stock market, gold, and #Bitcoin, and each has its place in my portfolio. However, since diving deeper into Bitcoin, its percentage has steadily grown because I’ve come to truly understand its nature.

Bitcoin has completely flipped my perspective on what ownership really means. Unlike gold or stocks, Bitcoin offers unconfiscable, borderless, and permissionless property, something I now value above all else.

What about you, #nostriches? How do you see Bitcoin compared to gold or other investments? 🧐

New Years Thoughts:

I’ve spent a lot of time reading/watching/listening to books/videos/podcasts over the past 4 years relating to #Bitcoin in anticipation of this bull run. I am enthralled by the potential #BTC has in 2025. I understand there is no better long-term savings vehicle, and ultimately a tool that improves and enhances humanity. This gives me hope.

What I find interesting is even though we are about to enter an exciting year in terms of price action for Bitcoin, I simply want to tune out. I want to enjoy life knowing that my future is secure because I value my time and energy enough to store it in something that cannot be taken from me, or debased by the government.

The price action does not matter because I will continue to DCA, as I have since I first understood Bitcoin. There is no plan to sell either, simply stay humble and stack sats.

In addition, Low time preference living has allowed me to examine my life, and what is truly important to me. Because of that I’ve been able to stack harder.

So, in 2025 I am going to challenge myself to minimize screen time, not focus on price, but focus on enjoying life. I think that might be the whole point of Bitcoin anyway.

I wonder if I will suffer FOMO by not paying attention to BTC hit ATH after ATH next year. But then I consider what role my ego is playing into that thought. NGU is cool, but living my life outside of this screen is cooler…at least I hope.

After some quiet reflection, I’ve been pondering why some Bitcoiners view it as a positive thing that governments or entities like BlackRock are buying #Bitcoin on a massive scale. Isn’t that against the initial idea of #SatoshiNakamoto? Bitcoin was designed as a tool for individual #freedom, not for governments or institutions that monopolize violence.

What happens when governments or major asset managers hold a significant percentage of Bitcoin? Will they create "paper Bitcoin" markets like they did with gold to manipulate its value?

As a free thinker and defender of liberty, I firmly believe these actors should keep their hands off freedom tools like Bitcoin. It feels like they’ve realized #theyCannotStopBitcoin, so they’re now using YOUR money to hoard it—potentially stripping it of its liberating power.

#P2PBitcoin is true freedom. Once governments insert themselves, it becomes nothing more than "permissioned freedom." #NeverTrustTheGovernment to safeguard your #sovereignty. What are your thoughts?
