How to create a nostr site?

Call me stupid , but this is so frustrating.

I have yet to find an explanation of the system that is simple to understand. Once again, this video is no exception.

I am saving the video to watch it again later, but will have to pause at every line to slowly digest the meaning of every word and sentence.

I fear that for too many people it is much easier to give up and carry on with daily life than trying to make sense of the jargon and chain of events.

Will someone please direct me to an appropriate explanation suitable for a 5 year old.

Speaking for myself sometimes I’d like to zap but there’s a little bit of “I’d like to zap, say, 100 sats as a token of appreciation but I’ll rather zap nothing because 100 sats is really nothing” kinda thought.

I know it’s a “wrong” thought but it can feel awkward at times putting value to a note, a suggestion, a little insight received etc.

How do we currently determine whether the relays we use are private or public, and their respective restrictions, if any?

What makes a relay a private relay? Can I, as a private individual, set up a relay? Why can’t a group of people (such as a government or any other entity) set up one or more relays as well?
