Andrew Poelstra (Director of Research, Blockstream) has been around Bitcoin research and development for a long time, and has a lot of insight to share on Bitcoin research in this episode. For part 2 of my discussion with Andrew we focus more on bitcoin and cryptography research that the team are working on, and what it means for the future of Bitcoin:
Cryptography
Bulletproofs++
MuSig2
FROST
Bitcoin Scripting
Miniscript
Simplicity
CTV and APO
Covenants: are they risky for Bitcoin?
Transaction Introspection on Liquid
Sir, why do you keep crossing the border with a single useless shard?
Two great recent Sean Carroll interviews to bring you a bit down to earth if you're hyped up about AI.

Yes it would. It's the same risk as a custodial wallet.
Indeed all clients would have to support (or some broader standard). GreenLight does let you share a single wallet between those clients.
It's not better than running your own node, just easier to on board. And they have a way to then take that node and self-host it when you're ready to go deeper into the rabbit hole.
With your own node a plugin makes sense. With Greenlight I think the idea to an SDK, like the one Breez is working on.
Also it could integrate the payment progress indicator right under the post so I can continue reading and then see the confetti above.
Mostly Amethyst with Zeus on GrapeneOS. Opening Zeus is pretty quick, but going back is clunky. I have to swipe back a bunch of time. And I have to confirm the payment each time. A built-in wallet (with limited funds on it) could automatically zap with one or two taps.

Must add to my pile of cool Bitcoin gadges that I might never use, but who knows. At least it's not as heavy as an anvil...

A ‘paper computer’ for Bitcoin checksums and Shamir Secret Sharing may seem absurd, but that’s what we’re talking about in this episode! This project is a scheme to generate, encode, checksum, split and recover Bitcoin secret keys, using pencil, paper and lookup tables (alternately, volvelles). We discuss codex32 and the motivation behind it with Andrew Poelstra (Director of Research, Blockstream). Note this is the first of a two part episode. In this first part we discuss:
Bitcoin private keys today
Multi signature and Shamir Secret Sharing contrasted
Where to keep shards or keys
Error correction
Risks with Hardware wallets (even though you should still use them)
BIP39 vs codex32
Limitations of the paper computer (Volvelles)https://m.primal.net/HJzS.webp

I know, but it requires app switching. Having a non-custodial lightning node inside a Nostr app should be a better experience.
Are there any Nostr clients that use Greenlight for (sending) zaps?
