A Bitcoin guy.

Have you tried Alexander technique?

So true

Or am I getting old?

I don't think these examples are sufficient evidence that electrum is using Async on the back end.

One is a bug specific to Android. The other had a very small LN channel so it's not surprising that it got forced closed.

Its hard to know, but having a 10m sat UTXO is quite big. Remember whatever it is, it will cost the same for both.

Also CTV might bring a more stable fee environment.

Its all speculation, but I'm interested if anyone has done any studies into this

I'd probably ask how he can guarantee 5%

I think 1m sat UTXO's should be OK to hold well into the future.

Spending 100k per TX at an estimated 1000sat/vb average is 10% right? I think thats reasonable to pay for the security of bitcoin on chain.

When putting onchain UTXO's into cold storage you need to lower your time preferance. Why are they going into cold storage? Because they won't be spent for a long time. So give it some time.

Now you know that you need larger UTXO's after your force close, wait till you get fees that you think are reasonable to send into whirlpool.

With a bit of wizardry in LN and you don't really need to coinjoin. But now might not be the best time to be opening channels.

BTW I worked as a dishwasher for years. Put on bitcoin podcasts or audiobooks so you can learn at the same time (which offsets the low pay).

Do we think unannounced LN channels will grow with the recent off boarding of US citizens?

It's federated by different members like block stream, bitfinex, I think boltz are part of it too.

So my understanding is that "the bitcoins" are in a multisig wallet, validated by most of the members. Peg in 1:1
