I don't really know... they dropped the charges at some point, I think cause the agents that helped get him were corrupt and they prob didn't want that to come out in court. I should read more about it, it's a complicated case

The drug charges were easier to get him on so they went that route and sentenced him heavily which is why he gets to pose with other people in prison for non violent offences but he was really sick imo and probably deserves to be where he is.
Silk Road was cool though, my biggest regret in life is getting on there to wanting to buy psychedelics in 2012 and giving up because I couldn't figure out how to buy this thing called "Bitcoin" lmao ๐คก
He's only in this photo on a technicality because they charged him for the easier drug offences instead of the 6 attempted murders. Murders he ordered not for self preservation but for pure capital gain... that was probably considered in the sentencing idk all those attempted murders might actually deserve something close to that haha
