nostr:npub1ed75tah25dw2znwmn2rp9dml8ye6wqhk2adg6wzpdtr3h7a9km3qwu784r exactly, so you have no frame of reference. You can’t say “Tranq isn’t a drug anyone chooses to use”. You have zero frame of reference or worldly experience.

You’re out of your element, Donny.

nostr:npub18994crjwnldrukwym5lz3y2nae84s84v20m2rkngtjnyg549lr6qvxmd6m The problem here is similar to the vax -- there's no informed consent. Tranq isn't a drug anyone chooses to use; it is a toxic adulterant.

Framing it as a moral failing of the user is too simplistic. This is a form of chemical warfare.

nostr:npub1ed75tah25dw2znwmn2rp9dml8ye6wqhk2adg6wzpdtr3h7a9km3qwu784r have you ever purchased drugs from a street dealer?

nostr:npub18994crjwnldrukwym5lz3y2nae84s84v20m2rkngtjnyg549lr6qvxmd6m :tom_cruise_lol: Pleroma will always be better than masodont.

nostr:npub1lareccazvjjjn9x7cprulux8lhlc3n969la32fc96ld68ccjv67qguq5vr not for security, lol. At least the mastodon tranny devs don’t have XXE vulns like it’s 2004, lol. BTFO

Pleroma is a dumpster fire.

nostr:npub12kel9g0hwt6t4qe02q8yzej0tjavmtut0yh9dwatykjzzwgawsys2eggap Yes, it is horrible. I don't know if you live in the Mid-Atlantic, but it's a plague here.

Interestingly, IIRC it was introduced here in the 1800's or something as an ornamental. It grows so fast and vigorously, it's nuts. Maybe that's to be expected of an invasive, but it's still crazy.

I live on woodland that was agricultural land 25 years ago, and now it's dense forest. The catch is that 70%+ of it is Ailanthus that chokes out all the quality timber.

NAS is the best instance in the Fediverse. So many high-quality posts, so few shitlord trolls. By and large, people respect one another and the post quality is high, despite Adam's opinion on memes.

Thank you all for making this such a great place on the Internet. I am enternally grateful to you all. You make me laugh, you educate me, and I very rarely have to send DMs to ask intoxicated people to chill out.

Many thanks to nostr:npub1gxv4vcqfp2ug07fd34t0swq4w2t9gsynu0cmelr6ktcna8xnv38qythh99 and nostr:npub167hem6ju6vx27h48n8jauezrfjktmarxnuy5pxx0kt6aufn36apqqy0399 for bringing all these great people together.

nostr:npub19wl2ehyuc9r76s2wsymsaax5lyz2m7qd0vus7qa6gk4u29lu4raqfxaenr Yeah, I know the restaurant business is a tough one. Gotta pay rent and employee wages each month. I'm trying to avoid all of that; I'm not trying to open a restaurant. What I want to do won't be open every day. Once a month(-ish), reservation only, small groups, 8 ppl max.

My dinners will be more expensive than an avg restaurant, and I won't have a menu - chef's tasting plates only. I'm not trying to make this my career, just an artistic expression and service to others.

nostr:npub18994crjwnldrukwym5lz3y2nae84s84v20m2rkngtjnyg549lr6qvxmd6m its the guy from Top Gear he buys a legit farm in England and he wants to open up a farm to table restaurant on the farm. Very insightful on how government red tape strangles farmers. Pretty funny shenanigans he goes theu also.

nostr:npub19wl2ehyuc9r76s2wsymsaax5lyz2m7qd0vus7qa6gk4u29lu4raqfxaenr I've never seen Top Gear -- not really my thing. Also, the government can suck my balls because I don't give two shits about what they have to say. They can either take me to court or get the fuck off my property.

nostr:npub19wl2ehyuc9r76s2wsymsaax5lyz2m7qd0vus7qa6gk4u29lu4raqfxaenr No, I hadn't even heard of it. To be fair, I haven't watched any TV for years now.

My long-term goal (5+ years from now) is to have enough fruiting trees and bushes that I can run a high-end supper club / underground restaurant / pop-up restaurant out of my house during harvest season.

Maybe it'll never happen, but it's a fun goal to semi-casually work towards.

Tomorrow will be a busy day.

I need to kill a lot of invasive alianthus trees (which invasive SLF feed on). I have a short seasonal window to use the "hack and squirt" method of cutting the cambium layer and squirting in some triclopyr, which will kill the tree at the roots as it pulls sap into the roots. They can then be felled over the winter/spring.

Also ought to start on the tree hole digging.

nostr:npub18994crjwnldrukwym5lz3y2nae84s84v20m2rkngtjnyg549lr6qvxmd6m Topdressing with perlite, hydroton, or even river pebbles will help too.

nostr:npub1xpzrkaxt97zguqc5gj3xpkf6ymmxq363zp9xhgdw5h4arvhnr9wsancqs2 ah, that's smart. I might topdress with perllite. I have 24 cubic feet of it in my garage, heh.

nostr:npub18994crjwnldrukwym5lz3y2nae84s84v20m2rkngtjnyg549lr6qvxmd6m IME fungus gnats can only be controlled by limiting their food sources (covering exposed soil with a thick layer of inert medium) and going overkill with physical traps (sticky pads near light sources).

Ideally, you only grow during conditions where they're unlikely to take root - dry winters.

I've never tried Neem though, wouldn't want it on anything I was going to eat/smoke. But glad you've had success with it!

nostr:npub1xpzrkaxt97zguqc5gj3xpkf6ymmxq363zp9xhgdw5h4arvhnr9wsancqs2 yeah plant is in veg and will be for awhile so I'm not worried about it. Also only spraying it on soil, not on foliage.

Keeping the soil dry and adding a layer of sand or DE to the top would be ideal, as it would interrupt the lifecycle and prevent laying more eggs (as they can't reach the subsoil).

Neem oil on soil seems to be working well for now, and I've only sprayed once. Will follow up as necessary, and hopefully it isn't.

I'll probably also bottom-feed only from now on this grow
