hmm while this is interesting this is not what i was looking for.
about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox
yeah I like your idea. I spent the last hour trying to figure out how to get nostrgram.co to run with me in seamonkey and failed, its the only browser i use that i know can natively block images. i blocked i.imgur.com and was excited to see how much it cut down on the noise.
i've got some visual processing stuff, but its not actually a disorder, i just use my visual cortex differently than most people do, so seeing something animated and looping does indeeed drive me bonkers. :)
your idea would be helpful on several fronts, and indeed on data use for mobile.
I'm a fan of "old internet" where things very much were mostly static.. hahaha..
When gifs came out, they were also much longer, for the most part, most people made them for at least 8 seconds, now some of them are literally .8 second loops, and i think you may understand the frustration there.
it's more of a "when content is persistent" but also when the timeline just gets busy with all that at once, you open it and it's just... too much. :D
i finally realized i could use seamonkey to block image hosts (old trick i forgot about) but then when i went to load nostrgram.co on seamonkey and gave it my private key,
it told me "invalid private key." I know its the right private key.
Do I have to dis-associate it from Firefox Developer, before it lets me use it in sea monkey??
Believe me I understand *exactly* what you're saying. I had to be single from 2008 till now to understand it, well in the the past few years I've come to understand it. I've never had trouble keeping relationships either, or relating to large swaths of people. The queer thing is, I've never met a woman that's my intellectual equal, and I've never wanted to sell myself short, either.
:)
I do believe that someone out there exists for most all of us, though. :)
