I really enjoy it. I switched over when gnome became unusable around 2010. recently in the past few years i had a few issues to iron out with lightdm vs the others, and i think wayland kinda screwed things up but i think they learned and fixed it
i just use debian 11... and its straight forward enough.. xfce4..
i want a terminal i just click F1 and there is tilda..
guyake is too resource intensive..
wmaker and blackbox.... :)
or xmonad but its too much of a "both" to actually be effective.
i think vim is for people that hate themselves, why do you need a set of seperate keys every time you want to run a command? lol.
i enjoy the CLI, but i also enjoy a gui that doesnt get in the way.
i prefer my books on paper in front of me. 👌🏿
i learned linux from manpages and f around and find out. when i started back in high school
i will poke more at it some day but only because you asked, my attention span for such things is usually why doesnt someone just write a man page about it?
versus having me sit through this person talking about it, and then involve my visual cortex with all the things they're doing then toggle back and forth... its flipping exhausting.
:) being an effective communicator is hard and takes a lot of practice.
LOL.
i think its a generational problem.
there are others in the same age range that talk like search engine queries, in chucks case, he talks like the results..
just looked. talks too fast for me. :)
well I'm a Christian so I dont mind that part, but okay as long as he's not a pain to listen to i'll look... most youtube presenters are highly disorganized.
you're funny. i dig your personality though from what i can tell, haha. you are probably fun to hang out with.
i wonder if i'll ever end up meeting anyone i talk to on nostr.
hahaha. just taking a guess at it, i thought about looking at his channel and thought oh if this is some guy thats wired on too much soy and trans rights im just not gonna like it given that im already winding down and we need more normal people in the world. but i'll check it out at some point
you boil the water. put a basket filter in that thing, and then put the coffee into it, and then pour the water over it. stir gently, let it drain, then fill it again and you've got coffee in your cup.
could not be easier.
get you one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Kalita-Wave-Dripper-185-People/dp/B0991SLKW5?th=1
Kopi Luak. and its actually monkeys. and its really a sad situation.
they keep them in cages, and they shock them with battery operated electrical sticks, and force them to eat coffee beans all day.
to the point where they're basically constantly crapping.
its totally inhumane.
never had that coffee...
lol :) you said that last time then as i looked at my following list you stayed up another 2 hours 🤣
rest well if you do go to sleep. and rest assured if i want to know something i'll just ask.
😊
actually roasting coffee is a lot more economical. than buying at the store.
learning to roast= you will screw up a lot of coffee and burn the flavor out of it, but you'll enjoy that you made it so much you'll drink it anyway.
for some of the best coffees in the world you can buy 22lb boxes for 135-200$,
if you just want to buy coffee to roast elsewhere i've seen prices from 3.50/lb- 7$ a pound there abouts.
i rooted out a high quality supplier and trust they know what they're doing... and just buy only from them.
i was selling coffee briefly for 26$ / 14oz bag..
that's weaksauce. lol
its way more fun to learn to do something yourself :) network chuck sounds lazy~
yes missus, you are correct about that. unless you're married then plz advise and i'll call you m'aam.
its a lot of fun roasting... i have a modified setup, i bought a home roaster, and moved a few wires around inside, and use propane for most of the heating, and a focused heat gun (hence the propane.) then i shut the door and let the thing finish off.
am of the philiosophy you can make good coffee with most any setup as long as you know what you're doing
posting this again: https://writehere.is/nwo/driving-vaxxident
you're most welcome. if you ever have coffee questions I can probably help you answer them.
okay i hear you there. i've ground with a hammer and made coffee in a pan........ not the greatest.. LOL
my favorite is drip with the kalita wave 185. its just simple and predictable and tastes clean.
