Just woke up from an insanely vivid dream.
I was reading a book series about humans first contact with aliens and I was both the reader and a character in the book. A research team consisting mostly of women scientists and a handful of soldiers as security were sent to Antarctica to meet with the aliens there when they landed. There was lots of hullabaloo and preparation but I (one of the security personnel) was very skeptical and certain this was a bad idea. When the aliens landed, they started killing everyone, and I was the last survivor, fleeing from the aliens in the frozen waste. When I died in the book, I woke up as a person reading the book, discussing it with other people who were trying to tell me about the feminist themes and blah blah blah. The book series was 4 books long, but I was reading the secret 5th book which details my flight from the aliens, and also the origin of the aliens themselves. But then I had to pee really bad so I woke up (I had to pee irl).
I've been awake for like ten minutes and I've already forgotten half the dream so I'm writing this down so I don't forget anymore
