I also grow indoor and out. Consider adding green onions cuz they are super easy both indoor and outside, can grow well with other things, and can even do well once rooted over winter buried in snow. They are bi-annual, so in year 2 you can get seeds.

Next time you bring some home, just pop them in soil instead of the fridge. That's a quick way to begin.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a weather station that can track temps wind and rainfall and had an app or can connect to online to see historical data.

We want to keep a better eye on the garden and how much we differ from local forecasts.

Every day since the workshop I have done one thing in the garden. Today, I mulched around the chard, the rest of the tomatoes and began mulching the green beans because THEY GERMINATED!!!

I have been feeling so behind in the garden. But today we get a saute of the first garlic scapes, chard, brassica leaves, and peas, so maybe not as behind as I thought.

There is an advantage to working in the fiat mines... I get to take this scrap wood home. Its not the best quality but it's great for building stuff where that dosent matter.

Some of this will be used to frame out a workshop, the rest is ear marked for random projects. 👍🏻

I'm attempting to germinate some Texas Mountain Laurel seeds. I've been collecting them ever since I "discovered" the plant last year. From what I've read, it's not so easy to get these things to sprout! Especially since all I have right now are hard, year old + seeds.

I'm going to try a few different methods: scarification, exposing them to cold, etc but tomorrow I plan to take a few cuttings and grab some fresh seeds because apparently you can get them to grow when they fresh as well, I guess?
