Bitcoin will fail if it isn't widely used as an alternative to the dollar and the banking system. If it's just used as a speculative store of value it will have failed in my eyes.
Housing, food, energy, health care or anywhere the government is highly involved prices will keep rising.

Schiff is just a troll who has no real solutions to the problems. Just buy some gold, value stocks, emerging market stocks, gold mining stocks, just not too much!
I don't care if it's a gold or a bitcoin standard, all monetary standards fail in the end. If governments need to fight a war or bailout an economy they just go off of their standard (whatever their currency units are tied to). If governments tied their currency units to Bitcoin it will fail just like the gold standard did.

I often underestimate how resilient the existing system is. But clearly this will come to a bad ending. I just don't know when.
