My first attempt at making compost.
It looks great and smells amazing so I guess I did it right! It is mostly pig manure and grass clippings.
I have always just used fertilizer, but having a little one has completely changed my mindset on chemicals. I am doing my best to practice regenerative techniques on the homestead.

One of my feeder piglets this year. She may be too pretty to butcher. 🤷♂️ We'll see what happens, I am looking for a sow.

The things you find under an old house! This is the biggest wooly worm I've ever seen! It was under an old house on the property that we were disconnecting the water line from.

Dehydrator*
1 gallon of locally grown strawberries in the dehydrator... 8 hours feels like an eternity!

I literally just finished cutting up a gallon of Strawberries to go in the dehydrater!
It is all about the experience! We had a great time, and it has been many years since my brothers and I spent any time together. The views of the Cullasaja River are incredible!
This one and the last post you have, have images. I've only been using nostr for about an hour now so I'm also trying to figure everything out.
The massive rainbow trout I caught this weekend on my first ever attempt at fly fishing.

I don't see any images.
I've really enjoyed learning how to make these maple edge grain cutting boards.
There were a few hiccups along the way, and the creation of some expensive fire wood but I've finally got it down!
