Love & Light

All the females in my house were feeling emotional last night, is this what’s going on? nostr:note1lhl33fedcvw6uk3e93sz4hve0922al3fprdnuk9642k4zd5xhdzqx48z3u

As a gen Z’er I can tell you all those negative attributes you just listed are exactly what me and my peers have seen at the forefront of society for our entire lives presented as normality.

The stupid dad in family shows, children smarter than parents. I can’t name one healthy monogamous relationship between famous people we were taught to idolize. Kardashians, jersey shore… We are literally taught that human beings have to be a scourge on the planet in order to live comfortable lives here & our kids will live in a flooded climate refugee filled world where we work 70 hours a week at a corporate or government job for $100 profit at the end of the month

Clown World is deep & it takes quite awhile to crawl out of it

The smartest people I know have children, it’s inflation that kills families

I feel like that bell curve meme applies here

Principled chiropraTORS look to remove interferences (called subluxations) so that you can have a proper and unimpeded nervous system flow to every part of your body. They do this with precision via an adjustment (not a "manipulation"), which gets to the root of a whole lot of issues. A typical back pain that shows up suddenly is just revealing ("suddenly") what was lurking under the surface for who knows how long. Just like any other profession, there are good chiro's and bad ones. Look for a practice that is full of people who take responsibility for their own health seriously and make a healthy spine and nervous system part of their lifestyle. Watch out for docs who are deep in the weeds of an insurance model or are happy just to see you only when you're in pain (that's kind of like saying you'll only eat healthy when you're sick). Many chiros also coach in lifestyle and dietary issues. It's worth finding a good one; ask around as the best ones are always word of mouth. The AMA tried to put them out of business and they're still at it with their ultra rare neck-stroke stories that not only provide no context but fail to address how many people die every year due to properly prescribed medications. I happen to be married to a principled Chiro (one who understands the history, philosophy, and art of chiropractic) but after seeing the decades of results of those who get adjusted and those who don't, I pray I'll never be far from getting my spine checked and receiving a good chiropractic adjustment when needed (esp before pain shows up). In any case, I hope you feel better real soon.

Thank you for the detailed response, I actually went to today and have in the past. It’s always interesting to hear folks opinions on the matter

I know someone who is a doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. They would not recommend you to see a chiropractor but they said something once that I thought was interesting which was that chiropractors are doing the same kind of "manipulations" as she would or could but that chiropractors do them in situations where they would be considered too high risk and that she would be more likely to go a physical therapy route rather than a quick adjustment with a patient. I thought it was revealing because its essentially saying yeah there is something to what they are doing but not addressing root causes.

I have gone to a chiropractor before, been adjusted, several times etc. And many in my family have. I would say the only time I have witnessed a chiropractor actually fix something was when a family members rib seemed to be dislocated after sleeping on their stomach. It hurt to breath deeply. The chiropractor performed a manipulation, there was a pop and all was normal after that, pain went away.

There are some cases of strokes following neck manipulations by chiropractors. which I presume ii part of what my doctor friend would point to. they are rare but there is an association.

Finally in my own journey to remedy pain I found "trigger point" massage. Which is worth looking into. I have seen remarkable results in people from15 minutes, increasing range of motion and reducing pain. a book online can help you find and apply it to yourself. For myself I use a combo of massage, ice, and over the counter pain relievers, I think what I have are run of the mill migraines that flare from time to time starting in my shoulders up the neck and across my face/ temple-cheeck. Good luck hope you find a resolution .

Thank you I’ll look into the massage option tomorrow

It was filling up there, I get it deep enough to get up to my neck but it is a monumental task to sink in voluntarily all the way

Having severe back pain today. Forced myself in an ice bath

How do nostriches feel about chiropractic work?
