With the growth of Nostr we will see relays becoming more specialized in specific kinds of notes.
You can add more relays and you can rebroadcast any notes yourself to any number of relays, bitcoin full nodes keep all txs history, nostr relays not necessarily, but the concept is similar, a relay can go out, damus already nuked everything once, but your notes remain in other relays. So to the question you asked, it's diferent bc no single entity can erase or own your data, you have freedom to spread and broadcast as you wish. Another question one can ask is, what nostr data do you want to keep forever, is it worthy to keep social media notes forever? In my personal opinion no, some other stuff yes probably.
Uber. They also have the address but for gift cards you have to scan your ID docs, its just stupid.
Ubr gift cards require KYC to use them, jfc.
You can ask the same question about Bitcoin, Bitcoin is also in someone else's computers. Nostr servers do not belong to a single entity, no single entity controls the protocol or the data, it's transparent and you can see what's in nostr relays and only you control your keys.
I have now 4 mints but I mostly use minibits mint, when minibits supports multi mint payments I will probably spread the funds more.
We need to start using other mints, seems everyone is on minibits.
Yeah i imagine Amethyst drafts can be a problem, many drafts and people won't bother requesting deletion or don't even know, it's a manual task for each draft and deletion might not reach all relays. Don't think drafts are a good idea tbh.
What events are those?Amethyst drafts?
Or the other way around, bitcoin wallets already give you a nostr account, and they all should have ux for it.
Yes, at least 2 colleagues from work, and then others feom bitcoin gatherings in town.
This is how we win. This is how we defeat the current financial system.
Looks like Speed Wallet are one of the first to add Taproot Assets support and kick off the #altcoins on Lightning pitch with USDT-LN, looks like they're focused on merchants by the pitch and I guess they appeal to those looking to switch to a cheaper version of #USDT like those using chains like TRON and ETH
Personally I have no need for this, but it might appeal to the non-bitcoin side of nostr who would prefer zaps in stables or something
Thoughts?

I personally also don't find the need for it, Cashu already has usd and i don't use it but for people who use usdt on tron might be good, overall for btc I don't think it's good adoption of usdt grows.
Increase in supply is an hard fork, a change in the rules that is not compatible with the current ones, so when you hard fork you are basically creating a new coin with new rules and you need almost everyone to accept that this new coin is still the real one, a majority of miners would have to agree, and most nodes would have to agree also.
Was The Nostr also created by the CIA?
"it wasn't me, i lost my nsec"
