All you have to do is convince him that #Bitcoin is [just another] asset worth considering. You can base that on history and leave the saving humanity part until later.

The total amount of Bitcoin in the world is fixed, agreed. But the amount of Bitcoin sloshing around that somewhat closed economy would go up, hence the thought there might be local inflation.
Reductio ad absurdum: what if somebody helicoptered in and gave 0.1 Bitcoin to half the residents; would the price of beer at the local bar still be 50 cents?

After buying a beer, much excited chat and trying to Orange pill two Danes in the queue, I decided I should make a video of me buying an arancino. It’s certainly not as slick as nostr:npub1lr2zzf989mvf393y0tv39ara6a4vddkd6y87z784up9vl6ks6j3qtudl6a would produce but you get the idea.
